Her jumps takeoffs are very strange... O.o It looks like she hadn't practised them much... Especially look her arms at the loop's takeoff... It looks like she is having trouble to jump. But her spins are a m a z i n g! I love her and her flexibility :)

they are both as different as heaven and earth. kwan is strong in jumps, her spins and spirals arent that nice to watch - and caroline is amazing in spins and spirals cos shes so flexible.

Caroline never really felt comfortable with this program and it showed. Her face was like stone almost the whole performance. She has to start emoting more if she wants those PCS to go up.

she's a really good spinner but I dont like her jumps.. it seems like she's trying too hard in the entrance, especially her flip and lutz

she does so much better during exhibitions.here she has magnificent style, grace, good timing, but no real emotions except at the and when she seemed to be happy for it was over.I have to say,i dont like her programs at all.only the exhibitions. her landings are better than before, but the take offs become worst.I just dont understand why.When i saw her first i thought she can become a new and successful sasha.( NOT the same, but similar.)now i think she becomes worst. and i feel sorry for it.

this was a bad program for her which is why she went back to last year's LP. she's gained a bit more speed but that entrance/edging into her flip & lutz have to be corrected. other than that, she's beautiful to watch, remarkably consistent with her jumps and a probably the best female skater in the US, even with the issues. her 4th place finish at 4CC proved that. if she can fix her flip/lutz entrance and edge, gain a bigger double axel and a bit more speed in her skating she'll be unstoppable.

She never really settled into this program which is why I think she went back to Ave Maria. If you watch her 2 performances to Sleeping Beauty and then watch her 2 performances to Ave Maria at nationals and 4CC, you can definitely see a diff. She's more relaxed and calm skating AM, and those were both at two very pressure filled competitions. This program didn't do much for her so I'm glad she switched back.

Her performance here was also affected by having had tendonitis as well as a twisted ankle just before SC, which was 2 weeks before TEB, plus growing so much so fast that she outgrew her Sleeping Beauty dress before she got to compete in it (the dress here is a last-minute remake of a practice dress, she talks about it in the K&C)! So she had to recover from time lost due to injury as well as the growth spurt, when preparing for this challenging program. I think she did very well!

This program was a challenge for her, because it required her to skate faster and more powerfully than she was accustomed to, and it showed. I think if she had kept working hard on it, it would have become a better program and, more importantly, challenged to become a more mature skater faster. I'm really bummed that she didn't keep this LP, which I liked a lot better than Ave Maria, though I must admit she skated the latter admirably at 4CC.

What I mean is that she is capable of much more than what is given to her. There seem to be lots of gaps in the program.

I agree totally. She is capable of far more intricate and difficult choreography but she is doing little more than stroking in between the big stuff. Plus, her jumping technique gets more labored and distracting every year, and that needs to stop. She is beautiful but I don't think either of her programs challenge her to grow as a skater and performer. Maybe a coaching change is in order...?
