i have uploaded the Delicate sound of thunder, the whole live concert, if you youtube search "PINK FLOYD- delicate sound of thunder live part 1-11 " you can watch it, it is an incredible concert, it is in 11 parts and it is complete.
Thanks tseekr379! The Delicate Sound of Thunder's parts 1 through 11 here a You Tube. Don't seem to include Yet Another Movie. If it does let us know PDQ. That concert had haunting sounds alright during those 5 nights at Nassau Coliseum. Especially with their echoed voices!
i bought this album 4 times cause my buddies keep stealing it. Best pink floyd live album. David is king of the bends and soulful solo, Richard is the man on keyboards plain and simple, and Nick on the drums is just beast. Favorite Pink Floyd song ever post Waters. Thanks for the song broheim
What a sad fact of life put so damn well. When it is all said and done it is what we all will have been. Simply put, in the grand scheme of thing...HERE AND GONE.
While I like Dave's solo off MLOR better this is an excellent cut. The engineer's reproduction of the sound is frankly amazing. Controlling all of those frequencies with that much delay and reverb without a whistle or pop is a testiment to their skill level.
On the album this song is wank, but on DSOT it's on a different fucking planet!! That solo really is one of Davids best I think. And you can really hear Nicks drumming and Richards dark keyboards here. I would buy the album for this song alone.
I had a chance to see this concert when I was 15 and couldn't get a ride to the show! However I did see the Division Bell tour 4 times..... twice in Philly and twice in DC..... most amazing concert I have ever seen by far!
Thanks for this. DSOT was a much needed album way back then I think I have listened to it and MLoR 1000's of times. They are still awesome albums and are forever timeless
@djtrixen whatever dude, i know i searched for it on youtube for many months before i decided to upload this and i never found it... so let me re-phrase : "I can't believe nobody has uploaded this on YOUTUBE yet".
This is an amazing version of this song!!! Momentary Lapse is an incredible album especially considering all the disarray the band was in at the time!!! Ok maybe it;s not a true Floyd album but it's still incredible!! RIP Rick!!! You are very missed and will never be forgotten!
@DelawhereRob much agreed, I think I can listen to this more than thrice a day and never get bored of it ;) richard wright was a gentle soul who was rather underrated in my view...
Yeah Richard was very underrated...... I am a much bigger fan of the more heavenly Floyd sound on Dark Side, Wish You Were Here, and even the Division Bell than I am of the Roger sound (some of the Wall and the Final Cut) Rick was a huge part of the heavenly sound with the keyboards and even though there may have been a time when he didn't pull his weight Roger was godawful to him! It was nice to see him make a comeback on the Division Bell and touring with Dave Gilmour..... RIP Rick!
Thanks For Uploading ! Awesome Version You Are Quite Correct :-)
**RIP Rick Wright, Thats For All The GREAT Times, And Great Music, Well You Wrote Great Gig In The Sky, So Hope You And Syd Are Playing Together, Once More...**
I'm glad I bought this CD... surely one of the greatest buys in history. This is an even better version of a song I didn't think could get any better. And the tribute's awesome, fit for an awesome guy... may he rest in peace.
Wantedto add; WHY is DSoT NOT on an official DVD release? Just blows my mind, I thought the production was much better than PULSE in some ways (particularly camera work and picture quality.
I only remember having the videocassette and it was so worn out from being played so often I had to get another one - but eventually vhs was altogether scrapped - although I happen to appreciate vhs audio quality more. DSoT is not on dvd yet or blu-ray. Shame.
wow im surprised its not on DVD yet. i still prefer tape to digital also but my vhs of this has long gone now. thanks to youtube i can go back to when i was 15 all over again, if only to see rachel fury's insanely perfect breasts.
I don't now about camera work and picture quality, but one thing is for sure...the editing of the show sucks! They slow it down all the time and just ruins it totally.
And I agree...can't believe it isn't on DVD. But the thing with the VHS is...they just skipped this song! WHAT THE HELL!? It's the most well-performed of them all!
This version friggin kick azzzzz!!!!!!!!! Thanks...finally someone did it, I am also surprised. Anyone heard that January 2009 is a rerelease of DSoT? Look it up on Amazon. Not sure why it is being released again.
Of course this version is good, but being a Floyd fan,you must have checked out the Venice 89 version i take it? Its certainly the best video version thats available so far. The power of the performance is incredible..
This song sounds MUCH better through ear buds. You can really hear the base better that way...

Just the same as all the rest
