I love this song! I miss the badass style entrances.. it was awesome to watch and really set a standard to the fight itself too. Wish it was more like this in modern day UFC too. Showing off and being cocky/confident is a part of this too sometimes, it's part of the game and doesn't mean it is the same thing as disrespect.

There was a lot of theatrics and pyros in this entrance because UFC was trying to establish the company and get the attention of the mainstream. Now that UFC is mainstream, they don't need entrances like this. Plus they want to be more similar to boxing entrances rather than pro wrestling entrances.

I think it was a good idea to an certain degree to regulate entrances, but UFC today gives very little identity to the individual fighters and seem to treat them simply as contractors instead of give them full respect as martial artists. This is why PRIDE was superior, and I still enjoy watching DREAM a lot more than UFC.

Couture built his legend by beating guys like Belfort (in the 90's) Randleman, Rizzo "twice" and coming down to beat guyts like Lidell and Tito. I think you're reading out of the dana whitee history of the ufc.

Chuck didn't or Machida and Jones needs to win 5 fights before he does, so give a man his props Chuck wasnt the only tough fighter of the time.
