after i fixed my ylod light of death my system only stay on for 2mins the its shut off can you help? My ps3 has been out for 3 years you think i should replace my power supply?
I tried your process on a 60 gb and it did not work. I am wondering if there is anything special I should do with a 60 gb as I know you mentioned in one of your comments that the 60 gb were a bit different. Otherwise I will try the process one more time.

hey thank you very much i follow step by step the way you show on the videos and i was able to fix my ps3 i tried before the way that this other guy show gilsky or something like that but it didnt work
i have the same heat gun works like a charm im going to do your 2 pases for the 2 ps3 i have crazy thing one of th ps3 turn on and work for 5 min and then screen froze and audio keep going normal and now ive heated and it beeps and red light blinks any ideas? did a burned the procesors is that possible or not?

By the way my heat gun isn’t a Wagner but it seems pretty similar (Parkside). It only had 2 settings: 375 and 550 C. When using the high setting do not to get too close to the chips as I melted the plastic covering causing it to bubble up. Fortunately I didn’t damage the chips (as I got the system working) but I’d have preferred to have avoided doing that – I didn’t do it when I had to use the higher setting on the other side of the motherboard – kept my distance that time!
