Hey i checked my snake yesterday and i saw a little blood around his poop. I dont know the sex of my ball python so could this be a female snake thing or just some of the blood from the rat pup i fed him the week before. plz respond
Not worried at all. Snakes digest very tough substances such as the teeth, nails, and bones of the rats they eat. Don't worry, unless the bedding had some poisonous substances on it prior to digestion.
training would be very difficult seeing that they cannot respond to auditory ques or command. If you are meaning, taming them. that is the easier of the two. A lot of the snakes obtained as pets are pretty tame at purchase, and you just need to keep handling them to get them used to it. However, there are some that are better off being strictly observation pets, or, ones you dont handle very often. If you want a good tempered, easy starter, I would recommend the ball python or corn snake.
Not this time. The next time I run an animal related contest (most likely next year), I will include ALL animals. Where this is a reptile contest this year I had to draw the line there.
i entered my hamster cause one time he was attcked by a snake and now has 2 legs

How worried should I be that my red tail boa swallowed some wood (aspen) with its last meal?
I have also been reading that it is not wise to feed live prey. I have been without any problems.
Thanks for any advice.

Do They Bite?
harmeetsucks 2 years ago
Ball Pythons, Sand Boas, and Woma Pythons are generally pretty docile and although they all CAN bite, it is unlikely they will.
