Never did see Starship but have seen June a couple of times. What a beautiful, rich voice she has. And this proves that she can sing songs from almost any genre.
Hey, I count myself fortunate to have caught Grace singing this with Starship at a free concert in Golden Gate Park in 1975, a time when she wasn't generally singing "White Rabbit" and they generally weren't doing free concerts. . . A powerful tune. June gives it her own stamp, and she does a damn good job of it. One of the few voices I could think of that carry the same sort of power and passion that Grace had in her heyday. Hope Grace agrees. . .
sound like a friggin twit but junes presence within her music is deeply spiritual to me ... (time for another glass of turps) ... no seriously it has deep beauty and spirituallity and a mesmeric quality ...
Great Stuff!
