hi am part of the british army caddet force and i can assure you that the way you keep the bolt back is exactly the same as the real thing. (which in my oppinian is hard to use in prone on ther real thing when you use it first).
hey everyone im not spaming just ttrying to get my name known i do airsoft vids and would love for ppl to check me out and like comment subscribe it would mean alot ill ge a better camrea if ppl like and comment ans sub enough thanks check me out :)
I think it should be the Light Support Weapon, not really a light machine gun tbh, it was designed to be a sharpshooter, having a longer range and a better accuracy compared to the L85A2.
Baught this gun a year ago n i love it ever since! its nice weight and well made, only probs i had are occasional jams. but every time im at the site there is always a guy who brags about how much he knows about it etc just cus hes a "cadety" still though real and airsoft are both great :).
I'm in the British army and I love your respect for the SA80, its an awesome piece of kit to use :) that said, in real life the LSW truely is a let down
@SuperEmmit Why are you saying this he is obviously not old enough to join the army i have been fanatical about combat since i was 4 and i am joining the army when i turn sixteen and FOR GOD SAKES ITS NOT ARMY ARMOURMENT WHY DIDNT YOU MENTION ANYTHING ABOUT HOW ITS AN ENGLISH WEAPON!
@NewWhitelandAirsoft Being behind the magazine it isn't a FOREgrip. Rear grip. It is so when you are in the prone position you have better control of the weapon. Right hand on pistol grip and left hand on the rear grip. Keeps it in the shoulder nicer.
Source: Adult Instructor in ACF (I have slept with the LSW (L86A2) weapon and taken it apart blindfolded more times than I would like to admit.)
@aircommando1995 If you fire it properly, ie cocking it properly then no band the cheek piece is on the wrong side but if you really wanted to left handed would be possible.
@crazyNCman On the A2 version it can it was designed to be better then the A1, It was designed for both handers, so that no one can be hurt but this is airsoft so it'll be different to the real model
dude there both british army issue there going to luck the same they fire the same calibre and the lmg variant l86 is simply just a faster firing of the l85 (sa80)
@soldier68able because i go hunting with my air rifle and a shot gun and when im at home it would be fun to piss about with a bb gun. hunting is fun, and exiting. and i eat what i kill. so theres no waste. but if it is a rat or any other pest i dont. why would you not hunt? :O
i think that im going to get this gun but i was wondering, what is the biggest battery because i want it fast and i don't know what will fit and what will break it. plaza tell me!@!!@!@!@
@DazziBoi14 Nah, more and more countries will be using the Bullpup design soon. It allows for a longer barrel in a gun that is the same overall length, meaning greater accuracy without losing out on manouverability. The AUG and the TAR-21 are probably the best. The TAR-21 is supposedly accurate enough to be a sniper, and is shorter than an M4. I'd rather see us go to one of those over the M4. For special forces, we should use the SCAR, you can change internals to fire AK-47 bullets.
@fluffymole0913 Oh sure agree with you on there. I only said M4 because US forces, and would just be more convenient.
To be honest I dont know why UK forces dont just use kalashnikovs. Theyre built like a brick shit house and probably the most reliable rifle out there, and theyre cheaper than SA80s. Makes complete sense to me.. lol.
@DazziBoi14 Because the Kalashnikov weapons are the symbol of communism, terrorism and other things that our country hates. Like I said with the SCAR, that would be the best to use. Easy to maintain and repair, can change internals to fit the job needed, so it can take lethal bullets that usually only AK-47's will fire, meaning lots of power in a more accurate gun, and if you are behind enemy lines, the empty shells on the floor will seem friendly.
@fluffymole0913 They may be the symbol of terrorism but the russians use them, why cant we? :P.
And your thinking of the Scar H that can take 7.62 ammunition right? There isnt a scar that can take both 7.62 ammo and 5.56 ammo as the size of the magwell would either be too big or too small.
@DazziBoi14 It may not be the SCAR-H but I definately remember seeing a gun on 'Future Weapons' which could change internals to take many different calibres.
@DazziBoi14 Probably, my dad works for the MOD, they've cut thousands and thousands of jobs, and they are re-structuring their pension system. My Dad said he and who is left of his work collegues may be going on strike soon because they did not consult them about the change in the pension scheme, and they did not compensate them for it either.
He says that the MOD would hardly chose to give those out on a large scale, but it's not unlikely that SBS or SAS troops could use them occasionally.
@rusher38 But does any of this actually matter because you'd be use'd to whatever equipment you were trained with so all the statistics are completely useless because you wouldn't really know much else.
@0110Mikey In terms of accuracy, yes, in terms of tacticality or practicality, no.
SA80 series of weapons are quite bulky even though they are bullpup. And they do not come with 5000 feet of RIS rails on them unlike a good amount of Armalite styled weapons.
@rusher38 practical? An L85 is smaller than an M4 with almost the same length barrel and you can buy rails for them they're just hard to find and the only really big change you'd make to your airsoft gun is add a grenade launcher and you can do that already with an L85. Also the L86 LSW, its a support weapon "it does what it says on the tin" On another note an M4 and M16 Will blow up in your face if it has any water in it at all.
@0110Mikey SA80 also has a tougher trigger pull, normal people could fire an Armalite styled gun on semi auto faster than an SA80. L86 is used more as a DMR than a Support MG. Armalites don't ALWAYS blow up but there is a larger chance for them to do so over an SA80. As for size, yes the L85 is much smaller, but it DOES weigh more, and when in full gear, any way to lose a pound or two can be a great advantage.
nice weapon... seems very similar to the real life thing... sadly that little bolt catch is the same as that in real life but you soon get used to it. shame they couldn't get the trigger quite right but thats about the only difference... oh and when you want to hold open, have the weapon in your shoulder then with your left hand reach over the weapon, pull the cocking handle fully to the rear and then with your thumb depress the holding open catch and slowly ease the bolt forwards on to it :)
@Sierra4Delta you can buy these in the UK they are british guns search the web for airsoft SA80 or airsoft LSW still unlucky for you cause i get to shot this thing in real life btw the L85 can go through a can will atleast the one im getting

@Slaughter619 I usually fire mine on full auto. The few times ive fired semi it locks up a lot, but since it is aminly a support gunner it is mainly full auto.
Hey, I was wondering if I should get this or the real sword type 56, I like them both but I cant decide. I really like the longer barrel and look of the l86a2, but I like the build quality of the type 56. I also know that they are both very well made. Please respond
@ScottishRugby23 personally i would go with the ICS l86a2. It has an overall better performance, accuracy, rof and the externals are very high quality. I mean don't get me rong Real Sword makes fantastic guns but this is a bit of a better deal.
this is one amazing airsoft gun. im in the british army cadet force and ive fired the reall thing and it is a brilliant weapon. it has quite a bit of recoil but still, a very good accurate weapon. :)

does the semi lock up as much as ppl say?
Slaughter619 1 year ago
@Slaughter619 That is on the Army brand one. This one does not have that problem.

@Slaughter619 I usually fire mine on full auto. The few times ive fired semi it locks up a lot, but since it is aminly a support gunner it is mainly full auto.

Does it use a custom type battery or a small type battery? I've heard that it has a small battery space

where did u get the poster
