@remixskaterboy3 Yes. I like the Fact that the cold air from above comes from the hood scoop. And below, from the air inlets in the front bumper, that's how cold air gets to the motor. The hood fits down onto the black box to seal the hot air out. . Thanks for your input. Keep the Faith.
@franky6mt I was going to say something Sarcastic to you. But after looking at your page, I see that you are young and have not learn, the proper way to communicate with people. So I say to you little brother . Stay Frosty Baby, up there in Canada.
@mantas11101 Hey! brother, made a mistake on the price. I paid 329.95 before tax. I do not know what your state tax will be. Hope this helps you. Oh I Purchase mine from Auto Anything.
is this airaid intake worth it i have a mopar cold air in my srt8 charger and i am thinking of changing it to the airaid and those guys who are talking shit are lame who don't have a srt8 charger because mine makes noises to. go with long tube headers with mid pipes w/o cats with magnaflow cat back it sounds awesome my friends say my charger sounds like a nascar.

i also have the same intake, that little clicking noise is nothing! pretty much what ajballer said, it jus sounds like that on a cold start up w/the oil. "shit" its a lot better that that lame ass k&n intake! that guys laugh was funny 2.
You dumb SHITS. The filter gets cold air from that oblong shaped scoup right above the driver's side valve cover. Maybe you aren't noticing it, It has a foam weatherstrip on the top to seal it to the hood and make the hood scoop functional. That part is an extra $45 making it go from short ram to functional ram air. Look fucks just look. you can't even see the driver's side valve cover because it is directly above it. Thank you, class dismissed. *it makes a huge difference too.
first of all this is a Short Ram Intake not a Cold Air Intake dude your gunna end up fckin up your car if you dont fix that tapping under your valve covers and i can assure you that its not the fuel injectors you dumm fag bag
Will, I Thank you Young citizen For your concern. But I assure you There is nothing wrong with My VEHICLE. I would go into how I came to this conclusion, but I do not feel like discarding my time expaining myself to you. And here is a little advice for you. Learn how to talk to people. So stay Frosty baby.
Man fuck what these dudes say. I have the same intake and it's the biggest difference I've ever noticed from an intake because it actually works. Mine does the same thing, it's either the lifters or pistons being a little noisy on startup before the oil gets circulating better, my car does it they all do it. heavier or synthetic blend oil will take the noise down considerably, Royal purple will make it sound like a sewing machine, trust me it's so thin and slick you can get 5whp from it.
fastsrt8, Thanx for the reply but I was being sarchastic, regarding all the folks aguing that this is not a cold air intake, but a short ram intake or whatever.
I was merely stating that the company that makes it calls it a cold air intake, so i guess thats good enough for me. :-)
The cold air from above comes from the hood scoop. And the air inlets in the front bumper, is how cold gets to the motor. The hood fits down onto the black box to seal the hot air out.
now you need to go get yourself a magnaflow catback exhaust system now that you got that big hemi breathing let her exhale and you probably gain a few more ponies too and then give us a take off video and maybe two or three doughnuts in someones parking lot mopar or no car

I have not driven the Monster that much. I have had it for almost two years and have less than 6,000 miles on it. I Going to take it out and run it this weekend. Maybe I'll run into some stangs?
i drive an 07 charger R/T with a K&N short ram intake and a turbonetics turbocharger with a superchip... run 11s easy 0-60 in about 4.3... i have beaten so many stangs its stupid lol...
awesome! i just bought this intake for my SRT8! cant wait to put it on! kind lame though that they didnt make it functional from the factory..but o well...
im sorry but i have seen these things at the drag strip, with drag radials. theres on way they do a low 13 second quarter mile. the fastest ive seen an srt8 do was a high 13.
dont understand the bickering of the intakes LOL but thats a good vid. i like what youve done it looks great. do you have any vids of the car in action, that would f**n rock
i have done my research you should do yours, and like i said before its a short ram intake. cold air intakes go all the way to the bottom of the car far away from the engine which give COLD AIR.
ok ok for the people who dont know about intakes but act like they do on the srt8 charger with the cold air intake when you close the hood it has a seal that goes on top of the intake box so that it cuts most engine heat off so u get air from under the car and from the hood scoop so when you get ya facts right get at the kid peace
We have an Airaid CAI on order for our Super Bee #799 so excited to hear it in combination with our Zoomers exhaust should sound like a monster...good vid...I love the manical laughter in the background it made me start cracking up.
I see that duct to the outlet of the hood scoop, I will admit I love that! But is hard rain/water a factor with it? I would think it might be unless you have a nice sized drain in the bottom of the air box..
What is the increased engine temp since you take away one of the cooling rams

its the piston cooling jets making that noise. Chrysler sent out an email stating what the noise is and that its not detrimental to the vehicle.

This is hands down the nicest system on the market for the 5.7L/6.1L Chargers, Magnums, 300C, & Challengers.
Highest quality and the best warranty!
