  • Purely amazing. I know a small fraction of Japanese but I know enough to understand he is singing about nature in some way. I absolutely love bands like this, and I think i just found one of my new favorites.

  • @biloxi1314 You said it, bro.

  • god damn thank you /mu/ for giving me this gift

  • Ive listened to this two or three times a day for the past week. Its THAT good.

  • Could you include an mp3 file so that I may download this and listen to it wherever I am? I would even pay for it.

  • listen> /watch?v=L4SGgyqrAhw

  • He's awesome but I hope he doesn't turn Japan into a bunch of hipsters. That's one trend they don't need.

  • @sHART1780 I guess you are not aware, Japan has plenty of hipsters, no country is spared from this phenomenon.

  • @TheSm3r poor japan. no one should have to suffer that.

  • i was at his concert yesterday, it was so cool!

  • everything was so calm. and beautiful. oh shugo..

  • どんな人は好きじゃありませんでしたか。

    馬鹿

  • Shugo en un gran músico y canta hermoso.

    I adore his music. ^^

  • Shugo is amazing I wish he would play in the United States...

  • one person prolly doesn't understand music.

  • What it'd be to float/up or to stream forth/from the dusky grey/threshold of the sky.

Within the water, I flew/past the fold that bends the sky to/keep it afloat. The sight made me ponder.

The dorey's tip/bobbed above/Though the rest/Had sunk out of view.

I peer round/but the bird/I saw had/now flown away, too.

  • @SketchesOfMoondays Just a heads up, this "translation" is incorrect, albeit very poetic. I don't know where you got most of these lines but they neither occur in this form nor in this order in the original Japanese.

  • @mikkabouzu Lemme try: From the crease in the water's surface where I jumped in /I fold the sea and sky together / I flew through the water / just below the folded-up sky. From under the sea, I could see the limits of the sky on the water's surface / I flew through the water / and when I bobbed up in the folded-up sea / I awoke. After I started floating, I flowed out to the limits of the charcoal sky / I flew through the water / and when I bobbed up in the folded-up sky / it shone into my eyes.

  • @mikkabouzu The tip of boat that I set in the water / sinks below

I can see it now / A bird is flying

  • I plunged into the/water's surface in/the crease where the sea and sky bend, twinned, like reflected spaces.

Within the water, I flew/past the fold that bends the sky to/the place below.

I am in the sea./From the water's face,/I can witness the/threshold of the sky.

Within the water, I flew/past the fold that bends the sea to/keep it afloat. The sight made me wake up.

  • @TetraChromaticArt I think he is the best musicians out there today. I love every one of his albums, and ya i totally agree even though its in Japanese it feels so familiar. He has such a unique sound that is just beautiful.

  • I have to say, there are some really great artists coming out of Japan recently.

  • oh my god. this guy. he is amazing. I want to look peaceful while strolling through the suburbs singing and playing the guitar!!

the band just following him around silently in the beginning is cute :D

  • @WHareRabbit

Thanks for the translation. Just what I imagined his lyrics to be like.

  • @WHareRabbit Thank you so much for the translation!

  • @WHareRabbit thanks! they're beautiful lyrics : )

  • @WHareRabbit Do you know where I can find translations for the lyrics to the rest of the songs on Port Entropy?

  • @OneBigMyoma I do not know of one. I looked around to try and see if someone had done a better translation than mine, but didn't stumble on anything.

  • The song is called Linne.

  • what is the name of the song that they are playing?

  • Anyone have a translation of this song?

  • Wow, what a voice! Great guitar melodies as well.
