  • 2:52 beautiful

  • so the pedal made the guitar say ba ba boo ba ba boo

  • I finally bought the GR-33 on Ebay not an hour ago, got it and the 13 plug cord for $295. Years and years ago I bought a Roland ready Mexican Strat and have been saying "SOMEDAY" I'm going to get that thing.....wooopeeee! My use is for home recordings with my Guitar looper and Roland drum set, I just play the parts raw and in real time and layer them, soon to be with synth and natural sounds from the 33. Sometimes life is good.

  • Why the fuck did 1:53 just happen?

  • lol rick roll

  • the beginning is better than rick roll xDD

  • this thing sounds a whole lot better than the gr-20

  • im impressed by his device, when was this demo made? early 90s?

  • gr 33 > gr 20 - if you need more and better

  • gr 33 > gr 20 - if you need more and better

  • Hi Vincenzogiannella,

great intro - I love it !! The video is from 2007 - do you still know which presets or adjustment you selected - Thank´s for an answer !!

  • which one has better tracking

  • how much would you pay for one? and where

  • What the difference between the GR-33 and the GR-30? I see everyone talking about the GR-20 vs the GR-33.

  • THAT GUY IS SO UGLY!!!

  • @Magoooobly Yeah? Well you are SO GAY for looking at another guy as pretty or ugly, dumbass.

  • @Ih8stupidhumans dude your a loser i can judge a guy if i want to, just stop being homophobic

  • @Magoooobly Again I'm not homophobic I get along fine with gay people but you...you're just an ass, gay or not and BTW how is me calling you gay make me homophobic ? huh? Your comment tells me you were looking at that guy and judging him if he is attractive to you or not that is GAY and not in a hateful sense it's how homosexuals find partners......look up biology and READ dumbass.

  • @Magoooobly BTW CHILD it's you're......YOUR imply's ownership......you might want to finish english in school before you make fun of people on youtube.

  • Hi! is posible make Loops in the GR33? and if is posible to use like a single multi efects for guitar? Thanks a lot!

  • at 2:00 he looks like he's beatboxing and 2:40 is probably the funniest sound ive ever heard a guitar make. sounds like a kickass pedal though!!

  • Sorry if I'm being a noob, but I've been looking into getting a Roland GR-20 - Does this GR-33 include the GR-20's synth patches, too?

    ~Thanks

  • well I'm not really sure but from what I've heard the 33 has more features but the 20 has better tracking...mainly cause the 33 is partially analog but digital can track better in most cases

  • Thanks for the reply, man! =D I think I may go with the 20 once I can pitch out some money for it...

  • so that first funky tune is all off this machine?!

  • 1:52.

I love guitar too. But woah man! Calm it down! lol

  • Patches are weak except slap bass and few others midi out and trigger a JV module with a separate volume COOL

  • Cool, maybe I can book a gig at a massage parlor

  • Guy playing in the video is Gundy Keller...and of course the GR-33 has midi

  • does it have midi

  • 2:00

  • lol

  • Anyone knows who is the guy playing the guitar?

  • why have people thumbs downed this comment?

  • cristopher lambert lol

  • omg has the gr33 been discontinued? I wanna get that instead of gr2o. Your right gr33 is probably better then new version.

  • The gr20 is NOT better. Its a dumbed down version of the gr33. Notice the gr20 doesnt have a harmonist or arpeggiator. Its also much more limited in terms of editing.

  • how much?

  • what should i get the GR-20 or the GR-33?

  • gr-20 is newer bit better too

    gr-33 its older ergo cheaper

    so ultimately its your choice

  • which has better sound? which is easier to use? which one can you do mor with? which one has better tracking? is tracking still in play or like the vg it has no trackign and just a processor>?

  • gr33

  • gundy....kewl

  • did the roland gr33 have distortion?

  • Is there something newer than GR-33?

  • gr-700

  • Well, no. You're trying to be too quick, boy. I know, you've seen Roland GR-700 in related videos, huh? But I talked with author of Roland GR-700 video and he said that GR-700 was discontinued in 80's... So not always the highest number means newest stuff.

  • I believe the vg-99 is then newest guitar synth by roland. 1000 bucks or so.

  • The newest synth is the GR-20. THe VG-99 is a modeler, not a synth, though it does have a guitar-to-midi converter to control a keyboard or sound module....

  • Oh okay. Thanks for the correction.

  • i have a gr20 and im pretty sure its the newest one

  • It is newer, but its worse then the gr33

  • Gotta have this.

  • Anyone knows a good site to buy the gr-33?

  • ebay i suppose.

  • get the gr20 its better

  • 2:54-3:07 awesome!

  • I too have had both gr-33&20 the 33 has more features, but I found that most of them you would never use. the 20 is very easy too use, espc. for live gigging. But like everything its a matter of personal perference. One thing they both have and thats is a Roland product which makes either great.

  • How much is this?

  • 400 on ebay usually

  • hey, im thinking bout buying the gr-33 but dont really know much about synth stuff on the guitar. So does anyone know what a reasonable price would be for one of these bad boys on like ebay and is it worth it?? Please help me out please.

    Thanks

  • in my opinion gr20. very simple and better cuality of sound. is my point of view

  • Do you know what the GR20 lacks?

  • Oh my gosh...Thats really cool....Am sure gonna get this GR 33

  • a question. : witch is the best and newest of the roland gr 33 or gr 20??

  • I prefer the roland GR-33 because you can do many things that the GR-20 can't.

The GR-20 is more "easier", but with lower versatile.. with midi too..

  • The GR-33 is much better than the older GR-30.

  • @kallemalmsteen though everyone says the Gr33 is more versatile, I've found that the Gr20 tracks better, and that's the most important thing. I have a parker mojo midi fly and the tracking sucks w/gr 33. it's a little better with a 20, but I haven't yet been blown away with the tracking on any of Roland's guitar synths. maybe they need to invest in a guitar with sensors in the fretboard so legato techniques don't get dropped.

  • @earlgrey626 It really has to do with the fact that it needs to detect the pitch. There was a guitar a long time ago that had fretboard sensors, you didn't even tune it and it was all .09 gauge.

  • @donsolo00 Are you referring to Holdsworth's synthaxe? I know they go for about 20 grand used now for the complete package. Anything modern rival it that you know of?

  • @earlgrey626 That's it. I've had the opportunity to play one before. Very very cool.

I think the GR series is the only thing we're going to have for a very long time.

  • @kallemalmsteen gr-55 is now the newest... pricy though

  • I love my GR-33. I've had it for a couple of years. Also had the GR-1. I have a small home studio and I recommend it to any guitarist looking to expand their sound. The advantage of having a guitar synth is that you can also play other sound modules!

  • awesome examples awesome sinth
