@Darrenholmes There is a free version available at the App Store. If you like it, you can either buy gear as in-app purchases or buy the full version.
@zitosonic Right now AmpliTube doesn't use the 30-pin dock port. Stay tuned, though, there may be news on that front. We'll post about it if/when it happens. Thanks!
Can you plug the end of your stompbox chain (stereo outputs) into the I PAD - a lot of us spend a fortune on our guitar rig to get "that tone" - and this is what we want to record - rather than built in simulated effects - they can be handy but i have a 3000 pounds worth of buotique effects and amplifier that i have agonised over for years - this is what i want to record.
i have an iphone 4 and i just bought irig and the amplitube app. i was wondering though how can i make the sound output from my iphone speakers rather than headphones or my amp which i have bought the connector cable for.
Hey, you still ignore android sistem? I'm an amplitube's fan. In a moment the competition is going to launch something like that for android the Ikmultimedia will miss this niche market ... Right now is the time...
@mauriciotav Who said we ignore it? We have a team looking at Android and only recently did the Android OS begin to start showing signs of supporting low-latency audio required for an app like AmpliTube. We still won't have a product available soon, but progress is being made on the OS and we do have people looking at it so.......
that guitar tone is really catchy , i am learning it by ear, oh yeah and the app is awesome i recomend to anyone who wants to have fun with music, very fun app to play around with
@lobotreas If you have an iPad you don't need to drag your studio with you to get your creative ideas recorded. Especially if you already have an iPad, this is VERY convenient.
i got the full ipad version plus the 8 track recorder today and am having a strange problem. when i import a song that i want to play over or if i record a track using the recorder for some reason it applies whatever amplitude effects pedals im using to the song as well as the guitar!
for example, if i record a clean rhythm section on track one and then record a distortion lead section on track 2 it also applies the effect to the clean rhythm section too...any ideas?
@igetcha69 Make sure the "Insert FX" are not enabled on the imported track. If that's not it, contact support, we cannot do proper tech support in YouTube comments. Thanks
@igetcha69 I had same prob. Customer support helped: Apparently because the audio input and output in the headphone jack are so close together, sounds tend to "bleed through". To fix this, when you are recording a track with FX, go to "setup" and drop the output level all the way down. When you record the playback will sound a bit "muted" but when you are done recording, raise the output back to normal, and you will see that you're track recorded properly without FX bleeding to other tracks.
Amazing video. love AmpliTube, thinking of getting the full 8 track recorder, but i am confused, can each one of your track have different effects on.
wtf ?????? you guys are singlehandledly trying to put everyone out of business...you can do everything with your stuff why do i need any other hardware or amps or any other damn thing??
its just unreal lol...
i dont have an ipad so this doesnt apply to me but when is this in store?? the interface just looks so sexy lol..you should have some like this for regular laptops
And lets say you recorded the perfect take on the electric guitar, but then realized you came in a few measures too early, can you move the recording or do you just have to delete it and redo it?
@versaln You posed a good question that Amplitude hasn't answered. I have the iPad and loaded it up with the 8 channel recorder. I wouldn't expect it to be able to slide a track (Which would be cool) but as far as I can see you can't delete a track either. You can mute it, but you CAN NOT DELETE A TRACK's Contents! Perhaps there's a way, I'm new to iRig, but if there is it's not intuitive so I don't think you can.
How about it IKMultimedia, how do you delete a track?
@ClubEastman Deleting a track is in the help within the app and the full manual (also available from within the app). Hold the "arm" button for 3+ seconds. You can easily delete a track this way so the all caps indication that one cannot do so is misleading here.
@ikmultimedia Ok, I've confirmed track deletion ability by pressing and holding the arm button. I know I tried that but must not have held it long enough. As for the app help, I've looked again and I see nothing in there about deleting a track, only arming the track. Again I'm using the 8 channel iPad version, not the 4 channel iTouch. Thanks
@IKISSEDELMO The iRig comes with a sheet that has the recommended cabling for that situation. Best bet on that is 1/8" stereo to DUAL 1/4" mono with one of the dual leads into your amp
Awesome Video! Just bought one and love it; but still confused (Guys at Best buy didn't help much). With it, can I buy a splinter so I could connect my mic (1/4 in connector), AND guitar at the same time? Also How did you get such great quality transferred to youtube? I'm SUPER foreign to this stuff. I have a 3g iphone to play and the Ipod 4 touch to film, but do I connect great audio quality by another cable, or maybe if I use my camera do you have an extra cable, or just the Camera mic? Thanks
@ListeNROck11 The free update from AmpliTube iPad v1 to v2 will include one-track recording and reamping and the in-app purchase of the 8-track recorder that rivals standalone apps (yet also works with the best guitar sounds on iPad in one app) is cheaper than many of those standalone apps.
@supacat789 if you have AmpliTube iPad v1 you will get free updates which includes 1-track recording. 8-track recording and Master FX is available via in-app purchase
@celticgibson Thanks! We're doing our best to bring our years of audio programming expertise to you as useful full-featured tools on your PC, Mac, and now iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad... Raising the bar!
