  • Your little Baby sounds very angry!

Kick the ass to all .... and good vibrations after the dirty work!!!

    thumbs up man!

  • how much are these after market pipes?....

  • whats the loudest pips u can get for this bike?

  • @20stevieray I don’t know about the ‘loudest’, but the Short Shots are plenty loud and still have some tone to them. I know some people just can’t afford to buy custom pipes and they rip the baffles out to make it sound like a Harley, but honestly, if you can afford to avoid it – please do. Straight pipes generally sound like shit and they are a real pain in the ass to ride behind – it’s just an ear piercing, shrill – shitty sound imho.

  • whats the loudest pips for this bike? how much do they cost

  • Che trippone!... lol

  • Great video...thanks for posting. I'm kinda tall, so I bought a Softail to stretch out on, but I really, really I miss my Sportster. They are the purest form of motorcycle along with Norton, BSA, and Triumph. Nice looking ride. Blacked out and mean-looking is the way to go

  • Bike in the livin' room... gotta love it

  • Im about to do the exact same thing w/ my '09 Nightster, but im going with the sideshots. how hard was the install? any tips?

How do you like the Fuelpak?

  • @holmeydude It was a pretty easy install...be careful of the black ceramic coating. Fuelpak did it's job I guess.... I still had popping on decel and they couldn't give me any mods to the codes to fix it.

  • Will it be in the way if youre to get forward controls?

  • @theyasman Nope

  • Excellent video! I like how you actually let us really hear the bike before and after the switch. Is it hard to swap the stock pipes for the V&H?

  • Not at all. Just be careful no to nick the V&H if you get black. The ceramic coating is delicate.

  • vance and hines are the best muffles for the any sportster..... the screaming eagle ones are for old people that dont want it too loud, but the vance and hines are how a harley should sound!!

  • Cool man, thanks a lot. Yeah I've gained a bunch of weight so that is good advice for me! I definitely like the mag wheels and blacked out motor, and of course the lower price doesn't hurt. Are V&H exhausts easy to install do you know?

  • is there any difference between the iron 883 and 1200 nighster besides of course the engine size?

  • Well, I suppose its the same frame..the Iron has mag wheels instead of spokes.. Iron has the blacked out motorI think they have slightly different pipes too.

Iron is a good looking bike if you can deal with the 883. Not saying that thats a tiny motor, but if youre a bigger guy then it might be a little sluggish I guess.

  • i like the other pipes better

  • Man those pipes sound bloody great!

  • what size are those 412 shocks? thanks

  • Stock - like 11" i guess

  • you feel comfortable ridin this bike? the wind bothers you?

  • It wasn't the wind that bothered me....it had so little suspension travel that it would bottom out is more of an issue for me.

  • the VnH pipes look and sound sick!

  • We have been Sons since 1991 and have not seen Sons of Anarchy !! I bought a 2007 XL 1200 N w drag bars and Sideshots my other three bikes I built. All run like Champs!!!! So I know just a bit there.Thanx!

  • Look nobody forced you to watch the video....apparently a lot of people find interest in it and i doubt it's because they think i look like an idot showcasing what the pipes sound like in comparison to stock.....so, fuck off and make some videos of your own of your fabulous bike builds.

  • Revving it like that makes you look like an idiot!

  • First off - is your nickname a spinoff of Sons Of Anarchy? If so, then give me a break about who it a bigger douche.....

Secondly, as far as i can tell 26,000+ people were interested enough to watch my video all the way through......

How many people have watched your videos?

  • @Fastfwd01 Dont waste your time replying to that gay poser sonsofretards69, hes just hating on you cause he prolly rides a rice burner and is embarrassed. Great video and thanks for taking the time to make it, we all look at videos cause it gives us ideas on what we may want to do to our own rides. Dont waste your time responding to these wannabe " know it all" chumps.

  • What, you got another bike now? Do you still have this one? If so, you could bring it to AZ and I will take it off your hands. Hee Hee

  • you're looking awesom on that bike

  • Love the bike. i just got an 09. I think its the best looking bike Harley makes. I hate when people say "Oh you got a LITTLE Sportster" They just have no taste or class.

  • That's a sweet bike.

  • i myself am a big guy. is there any loss of power or harder ride for bigger guys

  • how bad is the vibration or shake going down the road at say 60 mph on the 1200 nightster? have heard with the 883 low the vibration is very bad

  • No vibration really the newer Sportsters have rubber mounted motors. The older rigid mounted bikes were bad about vibration.

The Nightster is rough riding. I think being heavier makes it bottom out even worse. It might not be so bad for lighter guys.

I have a Street Bob now and it rides really nice in comparison.

  • Nice bike! I'm interested in getting a motorcycle when I can afford to do so, and am wondering if you would reccomend the Sportster? I like its how it looks, but it seems like your center of gravity is a little high... maybe its just me. Thanks for your opinion!

  • I hear a lot about the Sportsters having a higher center of gravity, but I honestly never noticed it. My bike was so relatively small compared to my new Street Bob that it was very easy for me to handle. I dont think youll have any issues with the purported higher center of gravity.

  • nice bike man

  • you are the best! you and your bike!!!!

    sorry,your fantastic bike!!!...and the shorty V&H!!!

  • can u take the standard baffles out

  • You probably can, but from what I hear it destroys your torque and in my opinion it sounds pretty horrible too. The standard pipes are really about as loud as you need to be. They have a decent sound to them to.

  • when you got your pipes was the baffles already in the pipes or do you have to install them

  • The pipes come with standard baffles installed. You can order quiet baffles if you want. Im sure those come installed too. I dont think you can order them after youve already got your standard pipes, but maybe you can. Youll have to ask VH.

  • Hi, nice bike. I dont own a Harley so my question might be dumb, but what is the Fuel Pack and what does it do????

  • The Fuelpak adjusts the electronic signals that control the fuel injection. With the stage 1 mods you open up the airflow and it requires adjustment to the fuel injection.

  • Great video, You can tbeat the look and sounds of the V & H shortshots

  • Thanks, big help.

  • Nice Bike, those V&H Short shots sound great. How easy or hard was the install?

  • Well, the install could have gone smoother. Those nuts that hold the pipes onto the motor are difficult to get started. Personally, I never did see how you were supposed to tighten one of the bolts on the mounting bracket. There are like three others that hold it though.

Overall it wasn't too hard, but it wasn't quite as easy as I would have thought. I think most people can handle it.

  • Thanks...just had those black short shots installed on my 07 nightster the other day and I got some blueing also... man, these pipes rock!!!

  • Yeah, they definitely liven up the bike! I do like them.

  • I commented on your other video earlier and asked about your Mustang seat. Anyway, good idea to film before and after. I went from stock to SE Pro Street slip-ons, but I've had constant problems with leaks for quite awhile now (even after fixing them). Anyway, I ordered some V&H Double Barrel pipes and they're supposed to ship tomorrow. Of course I've got the Fuelpak, and it works great. It is, like you said, a bit tough to get on the Sportster. Wish I'd made a comparison video, though...

  • Well, I enjoyed the several other comparison videos that I saw on here before I got my pipes. I thought I might contribute to the effort to display the differences between the stock and aftermarket. Glad you enjoyed it.

Good luck with your new pipes.

  • love the pipes...have you noticed any blueing on your pipes?

  • Blueing on the black short shots? No. I mean the pipes underneath the heat shields are blued a little bit, but you can't really see them.

The stock chrome pipes have heat shields that don't blue.

  • ciccione parti o no??!!!
