This is probably small enough for 'gils now (Tony gave me the fly) but you should be able to scale it down by adjusting the size of the bead and other materials by one or two hook sizes. Try it and let us know.
Tony's been tying a number of years so he's collected his equipment over time. It's not all necessary, but it sure makes tying easier - especially as the eyes get older.
Kinda looks like it could make a nice mini jig too. I'll try it out on southern ontario trout.

Try it. It should respond very similar to rabbit. Some folks prefer rabbit for tails, others marabou. Use what you have. If it works, great.
