  • i heard somewhere that sneaker pimps was inspired by the fact that the beastie boys had a assistant whose job it was to buy them cool shoes. nothing more, nothing less. and so some guys thought that sounded like the best job ever, and named their band after it. true or not, this story makes me very happy. (and they make me happy. - and your whole channel makes me very happy.)
