@bento675 I personally own the ax180s, and I like'em alot. Their very sturdy, and the cables are simple to hook up. None of this tangling stuff. It took me a bit to figure out how to plug it into the TV, but I got it, and sounds great. Worth the money.

@bento675 you have to listen very closely. No headset i've ever tried in my life will just seperate the footsteps straight out. Every headset is like that, and this one is the best I've heard, because it's cheaper than most of the ones that you can hear footsteps it might be like .25 better if anything, but not much.

I hear the enemy marched in private match because there is no sound of explosion and others ... but online there is too much other noise that covers the sound of footsteps. if I speak bad English it's the fault of google translation ^^

@bento675 Ohh ok :P. Yeah just if you want long term play I'd get Ax 180s, but if your really looking for just maybe 1-2 hour gameplay I'd go for 720s, but it really depends on opinion.

@bento675 mmm yeah.. I'd say AX720 1-2Maximum depending on how comfortable your with it. Ax 180 2-5 hours with it. I tried listening to footsteps yesterday, and it was hard, but unless your gonna buy some crazy Astros that are like 200$ then i think the AXs are the right way to go

I don't think you got what my point was on the video. Simulated was understood.

But for me (maybe not others) I struggled to find it all that much better than good stereo.

I own the AX Pros which have 4 speakers in each ear and are not simulated and the difference is quite remarkable. But as you research and listen to others, some prefer the simulated approach. Each of us hears and likes different things.

The tritton 720s are surround sound-they're just not true surround sound-they simulate it so this guy is wrong when he says you can't hear footsteps behind you. Also simulated surround sound is apparently better anyway.

You can hear the footsteps, just like on traditional stereos headsets. It isn't that you can't hear the footsteps, it is just that you can't pin point exactly where they are coming from. I just bought the AX-Pros from Tritton, they have 4 speakers in each ear unlike the 720s with just one speaker for each ear. In my opinion, the true 5.1 headsets have better spacial surround sound. The 720s didn't deliver the same dimensional sound as the Pros, it was more stereo sounding. Try it.

I have not tried the voice chat, but yes, you just run the red/white audio cables to the headset and you will hear the game sound.

I have turtle beach px21, what I really like about those is that you can plug the usb to your pc and audio cable to your ps3 and hear the sound from both systems (in case I talk to my friend over skype while playing), Does this work on tritton ax720?

@LorDCampz Dude, there's 2 USB ports on the front of the slim and 3 on the back. If that doesn't work you can use a USB to wall charger (like something that comes with an iPhone or Blackberry) to connect directly to the wall.
