I think the resemblance is in the smile/jaw; I hadn't heard about their resemblance before the first movie I saw with Benicio in it (excess baggage), and in an early scene, right before he took off his sunglasses, I did a double take because I thought maybe I'd missed something and he WAS Brad Pitt; but then he took the sunglasses off and the eyes were actually where I saw the difference.

Anyway, definite resemblance, but I prefer Benicio.

yesterday i noticed in the TV-newspaper that the movie Die Stunde des Jägers, thats german, in english its called The Hunted, would be shown in TV. i remembered the movie as a great kinda experience when i saw it when it came out. i watched it yesterday and was amazed by the way Del Toro acted, awesome, the best actor i've ever seen, honestly, no lies, the best actor i've ever seen!
