hey on the ultimate guitar chords there's a chord that looks like 8(a)1(d)1(g). how the heck are you supposed to play

You're one of the 1st people I've seen actually play the verse with the right chords (that wierd C thingy). Your playing was very clear, not sloppy at all, but you gotta speed that sucker up.

ps - play with your middle finger on the Dm in the chorus.

I do use my middle finger on the Dm; it's a barred Am chord with the middle finger on the B string, 6th fret.  What do you mean?

Yeah, Ted has way faster wrist reflexes than any man should, and yes, for most of the song, you sound like Ben Folds... It's very serene.

Ans the middle finger thing is just me being anal-retentive about how Ted plays it. During the Dm in the chorus (and at the end of the 1st two verses too now that I think about it), Ted takes his finger on and off of the B string (different string at the end of verse, but same idea).
