How did he get that train sound??? FXXXING GENIUS. Why did the mid to late 80's have to happen and FXXX up everything that had been so great about rock
brilliant idea to show this as a soundtrack to a slide show of the Northern Lights ,, listening to this is just like being there all over again, walking out the theatre at the end of the night, drained & soaked in sweat , Real happy days too many concerts these days are far too "Antiseptic"
Went straight for this one from EUguitarRULE favorites. Hey!!! nice to meet u ppl, will check out more vids. Excellent vid.
Saw a concert just after MSG first album supposed to be Scorps-MSG-UFO but UFO couldn´t make it and Def Leppard substituted, probably round ´83. It was great!!!!! and to see Schenker! Don´t remember much though, sooooooo long ago.
man back when schenker was young im telling you all he left everything he had on stage...played that shit like the world was going to end the very next day.
I cant add anything to what rpgrocker has said .... I also agree with vigildon .... Schenkers early stuff UFO / Strangers in the Night etc is Schenker at his best !
all i have to say is godamn!!!...schenker of old...i miss em he has definately lost his edge and im not admitting this too easily...i love the fucker...shit!!
Thank you for posting ,any MSG tracks or videos will always be welcome in my book and it's always great for some one like me or yo or anybody to take the time and share the music from this great guitar player such as michael, nobody will never see another guitar player like him come again in this life, thnx so much for posting!
Well said, Axe. Schenker is one of the most tasteful guitarists alive. Today's modern guitarists tend to focus so much on speed that they play with hardly any feeling. That's what makes Schenker so genius. Everything he plays is done with incredible tone and emotion. You can even see it in his face when he plays. Thanks for posting.
I wonder why he can't play like this anymore :( ?

The church bell sound is actually easy to do, just put your pick between the strings somewhere and pluck the strings...
Michael Schenker wrote really nice songs (I haven't followed the stuff he did since this one). And great musicians around him also...

I like the sound of the church bells, I wonder how he got that sound.

Proving once again why Schenker should have been bigger than Van Halen and R. Rhodes put together.Great performance. Thanks for posting.

Great performance & great pics. man, thnx for sharing these 2 gems!
Is this from MSG-Back to Attack box set?
AXEFLYERFV 3 years ago 3
I have it on Reactivate (4cd box). I know there is also "back to attack" set and it contains at least half of these gigs that reactivate has.
All music is recorded directly from mixing/soundboard so the sound is a bit rough at times but you get the sound as audiance heard it :)
This is from the disc 4 which has 14 songs from the Osaka gig.

The shows on Back to Attack are unique, different from Reactivate. They are a "must have".
