Branches provide the greatest benefit per gold. 53 gold for 1 to all stats. That would be 530 gold for 10 to all stats if you could carry 10. An ultimate orb however costs 2100 gold for 10 to all stats. If you have 2 or more empty item slots, there is absolutely no reason not to have ironwood branches.

When you upgrade them into magic wand, you have an additional source of Burst HP/Mana Regen which can be crucial in both survival and securing a kill.

@dyouberg1'm talking about the recepie mate, i usually just sell the branches for the additional gold. The point is that the recepy Magic Wand is usseles since it just combines those 3 and give 15 reg per charge. I used it when i saw some people buying it, but it proves worthless in-game. (FACT)
