  • i wonder how the musicians can be focused on their music with Debbie moving in front of them!! She's so gorgeous and talented.Clem Burke did a fantastic job on this song!!!Bondie 4 ever, Rock n roll Hall of fame 2006.

  • traspotting

    i love iu

  • oooohhhhhhhHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhh YOUR HAIR IS BEAUTIFULLLLl!!

  • No music has been (and I think there never will be) so transcendental and memorable as the one from 70's and 80's. Even many singers of this decade (2000) have used rhythms of the music of those years because they know how important it was. When I say transcendental I mean that for more years go by, this music will continue to be heard throughout the world and no matter the time.

  • Hey, I'm looking for a song I remember hearing as a small child in the 70's. Would you happen to know the name of it? who sings it? or remember anything about it? thanks! All I can remember is it was a rap song, possibly one of the first and it said something about a man from mars, came down to earth eating cars....may have said, hip hop, hippity hop hop........I can't remember any more @reginarosario

  • @ginncrew "Rapture", also by Blondie

  • @ginncrew are you being funny, or seriously? It was of course, Blondie! It featured Fab Five Freddy who hosted "Yo! MTV Raps" for many years..the song came out in 1981, though, not the 70s. It might have been the first hit song with rapping in it, but it wasn't the first rap song, of course. The song was "Rapture"...and it was COOL...as usual, Blondie featuring Debbie Harry was on the cutting edge and ahead of the trends

  • Great video, it looks like some sort of futuristic cross over between Dr Who and an old Clint Eastwood western film.

Debbie even once said that Atomic was given the spaghetti western treatment fuelled by an energetic disco formula which would explain the guitars.

  • who else is tired of the asshole that keeps coming out and pouring sour milk

  • hey catbells69 can you explain why you let your cat die of starvation.people need to know how you abused your cat and let it die of starvation.shame on you

  • still the first and the orignal blond in the whole of showbizz every other blond copys her gwen stefani, lady gaga, lasgo all the rest

  • Deborah Harry...Turn the name backwards and you get...Harry Deborah! Ha Ha! XD

  • Besides being New Yorkers, Debbie Harry and Lady Gaga have nothing in common.

  • She was drivinf this car and I was running across the street, late for class at some joke college on 23rd street, and I'm halfway acrost the street and this car stops short, I look up and its Debbie Bloody Harry driving the bloody car...We both smiled and she graciously let me go first (which belies her New Jersey upbringing)a real lady she was; proper like. I have nothing bad to say about her.

  • @ValerieBarlow you are sooo lucky you got to see her! im 14 (and from NJ) but i would've loved to live back then! did u like the 70s?

  • debbie = muse

    ga ga = scarecrow

  • It's sad that it has come to people talking about something called 'Lady Gaga' on a Blondie video. Blondie is a stunning, unique artist. Gaga is just a joke!

  • Blondie!!

gorgeous you still rock the air waves!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • well as we can see here lady gaga says tht madonna an blondue is her roll modle but gaga is gettn there soo i love all of thm

  • pure beauty

  • Was in awe of Debbie in the 70s when I was a little girl and I'm still in awe of her...BLONDIE Love xo

  • a fuckin godess

  • @reaney1977 COULD NOT OF SAID IT BETTER MYSELF!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Atomic!

  • @ silvercoq, Deborah Harry is talented but her music isn't punk. Siouxsie is the princess of punk and always will be. ;) I like Debbie better than lady gaga tho, for sure.

  • @89carcass Blondie's music is not all punk but they had some punk tunes.

  • GTA VICE CITY WOOOO

  • @yourma40 xD

  • blondie rocks 4ever.

  • You Phil Cassidy???XD

  • @kent45k

    goo goo is gagarbage.

  • Gia Carangi was so gorgeous..what a shame..but its cool to see her rockin out to such a sweet song

  • Comment removed

  • Gaga can't hold a candle to Debbie Harry, look at Gaga's face then look at Debbie Harry even at the age of 66 and she still look a hell of a lot better than Gaga who looks like Marlyn Manson

  • @Tim777G To be fair Debbie Harry has had a bit of work done.

  • @catbells69 Of course she has had her face high jacked and her eyes pinned back to her ass, but still hot for someone with a stretched face, Gaga was born looking like that, not good!

  • @Tim777G I don't think the biggest difference is about the way they look, have you ever compared their musical talents?... Lady Gaga and Debbie Harry, LOL... No competition. Debbie for the win.

  • @Tim777G

Your hair is beautiful....ATOMIC!!! God I love Blondie!!!

  • Debbie Harry's a goddess - reckon she musta been doing a lot of heroin when this vid was made tho she is skeletal.

I always quite fancied the drummer...

  • Haha 1.57 is a real cool guy :P Blondie sounds so good :D

  • It's like 'I'm wearing a garbage bag and am still cool as fuck'

  • Really? 19 people dislike this?

  • I had such a crush on Debbie back in the late 70's

  • DEBBIE RULES!!!!!!

  • Only Deborah and Vanessa Carlton could sing a song about sex and have it be magnificant

  • I love Lady GaGa and Deborah Harry they are both cool.,

  • All right, is there a reason why Lady Gaga's name keeps popping up in blogs about Debby Harry, Madonna , Cindy Lauper etc....Like her name doesnt even deserve to be conjured in the same thought as the above names. Me personally , Catagorize Gaga with Marilyn Manson as far as Image is concerned, and music wise.....She's created a book of her own by ripping the pages out of Other artists.....

    Makes me sick......Unoriginal + Overrated = B.S !

  • Even better with Feel Good Inc.

  • why can't music be like this anymore?

  • Lady Ga Ga hasn't copied this style at all has she. No way can she even come close to this gorgeous woman, Blondie was/is cooler than any modern 'artists'.

  • bad music, i not like it

  • doetim ... Totalmente de acuerdo.

  • The Original GaGa?

  • @noodlez4me I thought that the second i saw this!

    I think so!

  • Good grief! I just got a political ad before the video played. Do we have to put up with this now?

  • cruisin' in vice city with this tune blaring in the background. good times!

  • nice moves at 2.12 cracks me up. Also the dancing starting at 2.33 with Debbie Harry and the other guy is hilarious!

  • This a crazy dancy video, the audience are hilarious! Especially loving some guys dancing at 2.12 and the moves beginning at 2.35 :D

  • hahahah my dad used to have the hots for this chick ewwwww thinkin of ur parents being younger is uber gay anyway straying from the point this sound is super booty shakable!;)

  • @amy2565

Why do people continue to use the word "gay" to mean something negative and bad. Do you think that's fair to gay people? What if someone used your name "Amy" to mean something bad and you had to hear all the time?

  • "your hair is beautiful" i love it when she says that!!!

  • i thought gia was in this video?

  • @gwedette Gia is in the video wearing sunglasses at 1.27

  • @gwedette Gia is in the video wearing sunglasses at 1.27

  • @gwedette Gia is in the video wearing sunglasses at 1.27!!!

  • @gwedette Gia is in the video wearing sunglasses at 1.27!!! and again around 3.49

  • @gwedette No the one that houseredpls said is wrong, at 1:48 that's Gia Carangi. If you go on Bing and search "Gia Atomic Blondie" exactly the way I just did, the second item on the list actually has screen shots from the music video and that will help you recognize which one Gia is. =]

  • If Debbie's cheekbones were any higher I would be able to see NY's skyline standing on them! Amazing features on that face!

  • @doetim I like this comment a lot

  • atomic dont be a douche

  • atomic bommmmb....oh here it goes again! an orgasm.

  • TUNE!

  • No-one else could wear a bin liner and make it look sexy.

Would i go back to my heydays in the 80s ? damn right i would.i only wish i could

  • Great performance, Debbie i love!..the bass solo, great!!

  • Blondie! Debbie was Hot!The band was great and so were the songs, in large part due to Chris. MAX'S kansas city. If Blondie were 'It" seven years later they would have ruled MTv. Oh, god. I'm dating myself.

  • Atomic is one of my best songs ever! .... thank you for uploading this! Maria - Greece

  • Damn, she was sexy back in the day.

  • @rudeydudey05

damn, rudey dudey was sexy back in the days

  • I miss growing up in the 70s so very much. We had it all then {musically}. The music defined the decade. It was real music, not the manufactured rubbish that is out now, with X-Factor and that crap. Blondie, Darts, Sailor, XTC, The Police, and so many more. This was a decade I was proud to say I grew up in.

  • I LOVE HER, BUT I DONT KNOW SHE LIKES ME BACK? HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA LOL LOL LOL LOL

  • @MsPinkfloyd66 oh please.

  • @Saratheinvisible YOU PLEASE!

  • Prior comments notwithstanding, she does not know nor care that any of her fans exist to this day.Made it,got the money, growing old and not looking too good but hey,she will grab the money and run!x

  • blondie can still rock!!!

  • This song is explosive!

  • When post-punk met disco. Such a classic.

  • more DEVO-ted than Devo

  • what the hell are they doing in this song lol but i love it

  • she's unbelievably stunning in this video; one of the greatest songs of the 80's, influenced an entire genre. You can't compare her to anyone else.

  • This Is my favorite Blondie Song.I grew up with her music..Will always be a huge fan.

  • @TheBlueblackFairy You're so lucky. l've grown up to Britney Spears and other -pop disgraces. l wish rock was still a huge franchise. l wish l grew up in the 70's and 80's. Best decades ever.

  • Anyone notice Gia Carangi at 1:47, 2:31, and 3:52? Just glimpses. I learned about them from my fiancee'.

  • I'm sorry, but at 66 Deborah Harry will still walk through your front door and kick your ass! She's the Princess of Punk and a joy to watch live. Ga Ga and the rest shouldn't be allowed in the same arena as her.

  • @silvercoq - her and Toyah originals I agree, Let Ga Ga think she is doing someting original, bless her, we know better!

  • @silvercoq She doesn't need synthesized vocals to sound good. She still has genuine talent.

  • @silvercoq Amen!

  • hell yea!!!!

  • @silvercoq i love her wish i was born earlier!!!!!damn!!!shes great!

  • Think Sleeper did a grand cover of this on Trainspotting (best film ever), although this version is !***ing wicked!

  • @nikkim44444 i think this version is in the actual movie and the cover is on the soundtrack i have no idea why but i noticed that just the other day.

  • Best of Blondie cd, track 11 brought me here... ;-) GTA Vice City? Huh?

  • Was part of the East Village Ska scene, 2nd wave from london back then. Loved Blondie, Selectors, Madness, Ranking Rodger,Specials as well as the originals from Jamaica. Great time to be young. Underground Ska parties in Williamsburg on Driggs and Broadway.

  • Thumbs up if GTA Vice City brought you here.

  • What Rock Star does for video games is the same thing Blondie does for music and Quentin Tarantino does for films. Which is make it unbelievably fucking cool.

  • I love this song heard it a few times when i was a kid & heard it for the 1st time in ages but im only 27 & it was obviously out before i was born but what i dont understand is why do people always have to ask " oh how do you know this song its too old for you or isnt this before your time?" so what I didnt realise is , is there an age restriction on music or something? & people seem to forget we have parents who might of liked this music so therefore we've heard it from ages ago anyway.

  • @magicalmatt83 Tell them to fuck off. Boring farts. Mate I'm 48. Good music is ageless. They have lost it. Just do what you like.

  • PEACE,FREEDOM AND LOVE!!!

  • Yeah, I agree so much...only it was so long ago...and time sort of makes difference... :)

  • Its so cool shes a big time movie star and yet shes a hot ass singer!!!

  • LOVE THIS SONG

  • love the Mod drummer..... and i wasn't even born when this came out!!!!

  • I've been waiting for years to find this song... it played on the "Chasing Amy" movie trailer, but is not on the official soundtrack... and here it is! I love it!!!

  • um does this song remind of you of the theme music for some of the silent hill games?

  • This is music and always will be till the end.

  • some wonderfully weird dancing in this vid

  • It is pure coincidence that it was a hit when the 3-mile island accident happened.

  • The late 70's and early 80's were an incredible time to be growing up. The music made the era. Saturday nights at the roller rink will always be remembered. I watched MTV when it first came on............when MTV meant music videos in their real form, not the garbage thats on today. I'm glad I was part of that time in our culture. Always remembered, never forgotten.

  • @fastpony71 You know you are old when.......................LOL. Listen to yourself, sounding just like your parents did about the 60's. :)

    I agree with you 100%

  • trainsppoting movie!!

  • Thank you dj hero <333

  • I thought I saw Richard Simmons dancing in this video or am too stoned?

  • @Provia400F No stones...........that has to be him. What a HOOT! I remember his TV show and how people were so willing to jump on the fitness bandwagon. Thanks for pointing that out. What a memory.............maybe I'll forget that one. haha

  • @Provia400F Some of us did notice that too. That dude totally looks like Richard Simmons! LOL.

  • THANKS GTA Vice City !!!!!!!

  • @originaltbyrd

yor a fucking retard this song is way better then those fags

  • I like this dancing technique--act like you really aren't wise in the head.

  • if this was played before a atomic bomb was dropped it would not be that bad

  • Blondie is coming back with a new album soon! super excited :D

  • @ 2:43 WANNABE DAFT PUNK! xD

  • Debbie looked kinda like hannah hilton back then

  • When music was about music not staking it in your 8 foot platform shoes at a London airport.....MUG!

  • is it strange that i'm under the age of 17 and i like this song?

  • @IloveMuseic68 I dont know...are you supposed to like something more current or "up to date, hip? Lady Gaga or some other shit. no not strange, just strange that youd ask other youtubers such a silly question.

  • Dont listen to that cunt, it just wants you to think its clever.

Keep rocking out and bang to Pat Benetar!

  • @IloveMuseic68 It's not strange that you like this song and you're under 17, it just means you have good taste!

  • @doetim Thankyou :)

  • @IloveMuseic68 only the question is strange

  • @dschonsie

no your mums pussy is strange

  • @SnuffFawksXVIII my mother never had any cats, but only dogs.

  • @dschonsie

    You mean dogs dick right?

  • EL recuerdo del bombardeo atomico de EE.UU a Japon a sus ciudades de Hiroshima y Nagasaki el 6 y 9 de Agosto de 1945.

  • Love that Vulture Shirt!!!

  • I almost went in cardiac arrest seeing how we used to dress back then.

  • superb and what a great looker is she still touring?

  • she was hot!

  • Not pepsi but coke. XXO D.

  • I grew up listening to Blondie, one of my all time favorite bands even to this day!

  • This song is so much bigger than people even realize when it comes to how influential it was and is to the genre......way before its time and sounds incredible even today. My favorite Blondie track of all time to this day!!!!

  • @SoCalScott10 Some songs you can feel and this is one of them.

  • @SoCalScott10 Yeah. I've always thought of it as an early trance sound.

Not that I like trance... anymore.

  • @nagaslrac i do

  • Debbie Harry is AWESOME ! man Blondie was even one of Kurt Cobain's Favourites !
