I first met Bateman Jr in American Psycho, he seemed aloof. Almost emotionally unconnected, like a young developing replica of Patrick.
Maybe this all happened before he visited his father in hospital and he was described?
Because he is nothing like I expected from reading AP, he almost seems just on the edge of innocent/playful/loveable rogue in this film. Right before he shifts into the traits of a psychopath.
