I'm not condoning their actions (UDA, UVF UFF), just think it rather sanctimonious for the O'Neill brothers to condemn sectarianism, while having honoured convicted terrorists on live TV ; those black armbands insult the memory of the IRA's countless innocent victims. Nonetheless, that footage is still broadcast worldwide to an adoring, yet hopefully unsuspecting audience. I make absolutely no apology in saying they are worthy of nothing but contempt.

And when Dee O'Neill wore the armband on TOTP, that was to honour Bobby Sands, who was a fantastic poet and champion of the Irish language aside from being a convict. So just enjoy this absolutely fantastic song and ignore the politics. Or go and listen to the eighties mainstream that was 'A Good Heart'. Your choice.
