  • I'm from cornwall and those cats are retarded looking.

  • She looks like Eric Foreman.

  • That's informative to know that they most often like to be "on" you, since my own cat has never in his entire life lied in my lap even though i want it bad. But i do got two friends with Rex cat's and both of them love to sleep in your lap wich is not "normal" for other cats. So damn i want one, to bad they are expensive... :(

  • @ayGoGaming

I haven't seen this video in years. First of sorry if I don't sound too confident. I am not an on camera person and this was done spur of the moment off the top of my head out in the sunshine. Anyway a retired rex from us goes for the cost of the spay or neuter.

If you are interested rexclusive@rogers.com. i was much better when we did the piece for pet network last year...

  • I have owned two rex's, A white one and a blue one like at 1:44 my white one (Calvin) passed away a couple years ago and my blue one (Hobbes) is still here tho quite a bit chubbier since his bro died. They are some of the greatest cats I've owned. Playful, smart and adventurous (even at 13 yrs old), but extremely talkative, like, the only time he's not talking is when he's asleep!

  • Hayley is a respectable cornish rex breeder. This lady knows her stuff where if comes to this bread. We just get a 5 month old kitten from her. These cats are an awesome breed.

  • 0:48 he just got slapped in the back/... lol

  • My Cornish hates kids under 130 cm ....But all you say is is right!. And i hate him sometimes when he want to speak ..."litterbox,food,bed is in his order) still he's screaming att me....

  • I have a cornish who looks excactly like the one at 0:49 :D

  • is the cornish rex as vocal as the siamese?

  • cornwall is not england!!

  • They DO shed. Very little relative to a normal DSH and the shed hairs are very fine, but they most certainly do shed.

  • Cornish Rex (1950) is as a breed 10 years older than Devon Rex (1960). The oldest Rex breed is the German Rex. The first German Rex was photographed in 1930 or thereabout in Königsberg (now Kaliningrad).

  • this lady has: low charisma, low intelligence, low strength, low perception, low endurance, low luck, low agility, and MOST of all, she has assburgers syndrome

  • I bought two cats from Hailey (rexclusive) Boam et both of them were absolute darling!

  • I bet this crazy cat lady is still a virgin!

  • why do they keep comparing cats with dogs and saying 'they are almost like dogs'..

like dogs are better than cats? my ass. i would take a cat anyday over a stupid dog.

i want an intelligent animal which is a Cat.

  • @MinsterRogers It's a common comparison when the breed in question gets attached to its people. I'm sure you know that in general, cats are very independant animals that really don't care about anyone.

  • @VexonCross common misconception. read:cats for dummies

  • my grandma wants a pet thats super nice and i think ill tell her to get a cornish rex

  • i am interested in rex! call me 718-680-2460 bay ridge brooklyn,ny 11220

  • At 1:24 did she say "we have two boobies" or am I just a pervert hearing things? lol

  • @feelingfluffy "two BOUVIER" :-)

  • Cornish Tyrannosaurus Rex

  • Girl - practice next time so you don't come across like a "crazy cat lady" that has little to no social skills. Like the last post said, very much like a "2nd grader giving a report."

  • i used to think these were such weird-looking cats but they're actually quite attractive. and their personality is so playful and they're so generous with their love! they do get quite exhausting though. i'm not used to a cat with that much energy.

  • Our last Cornish Rex passed away 3 years ago and I still miss her.

    Loved watching your video.

  • HAHAHAHA so funny at :48 when they tickle its taint/sack

  • i love mine!

    shes so funny!

  • I have two. One is 11 years old and the other is 6 months old. They're the very best breed of cat. Friendly and playful and they stay playful even as they age.

  • this girl sounds like a 2nd grader giving a report on cats

  • @cuchuloholic oh c'mon! she started off a little slow, but then she kicked it up a notch. be fair...

  • @cuchuloholic thats exactly what i was thinking!!

  • I LOVE MY CORniSh REX!!!

  • That was an excellent and informative video about your cats.

    Thanks a bunch!

    - Okay!

  • this is my breeder! i have 2 of her cats and my boyfriends parents also have 2 of her cats :-)

  • I have 2 cornish rexs I love them and wouldn't get any other cat! They are so gorgeous & playful! Would recommmened

  • There is nothing like a Cornish Rex.They are so soft and playful. Mine is such a fun companion. Sleeps with me every night. She plays with 3 Persian Cats. All boys. She holds court all day..What a temperment.

  • the best cat ever!

my cornish rex gets along with my dog so well

    they play together, sleep together

and whenever im taking the dog out for a walk the cat will always come

there so friendly and love humans :P

  • I too have purchased 2 Rex's from Hayley. This woman is the most caring and knowledgeable woman. One of my Rex's became so sick and Hayley was there in the middle of the night to help me nurse her back to health. There is nothing she would not do for her "charges". Anyone who has purchased a Rex from her shiould ALWAYS listed to her advice as she has over 20 years experience and is so very knowledgeable. Her cattery is super clean which she has inspected yearly. She has won numerous awards

  • what does BREED BACK TO THE MOTHER MEAN??? inbreeding? .....isn't that a bit sick even in the cat world?

  • looks kind of inbred and sickly to me too.

  • It's actually the same size as most cats, but with less fur so it doesn't seem that way, and longer, jack rabbit-like legs. Not sickly. Very energetic, actually.

  • that one inbreeding happened years ago and a lot of cats inbreed of all other breeds. You probably think it looks sickly because it's fur hugs it's body so tightly they look thinner. You you shaved a long haired cat thier body would look much like that cat under all it's fluffy fur.

  • No, it means they brought the kitten back to its mother

  • Nope, breeders do it all the time. Incest isn't recognized in the animal world. It's not like they forced them, they simply allowed them to.

  • i love my cornisch Rex

  • CALICIVIRUS (aka cat flu) is not uncommon and is NOT a lethal disease unless you dont treat it and it becomes severe, then the animal will become quite ill. It is a treatable virus, not a deadly disease. Shame on your for having your cat put down because you failed to treat the virus.

  • Shame on me??!!

A breeder had SCAMMED me into buying this cat who was ON DEATHS EFFING DOOR!

I did what was best for the cat, so he know longer had to suffer.

  • Abyssinians ftw! :)

  • can u plz give me her info? I am looking for a cr.

    thank you

  • so weird, they look like sphinxes with fur on!

  • I am getting two kittens from Hayley in the next month. She is a WONDERFUL person and a very honest breeder with endless knowledge and enthusiasm for the breed and what she does. She allows me to visit my kittens frequently-- it is clear that she takes wonderful care of them and that she will do whatever she can to raise healthy kittens. I recommend her to everyone and anyone interested in owning a Cornish Rex!

  • What county does she live in? She would probably be the most expensive though, and I already feel bad for not adopting, putting a huge price tag on it would make it worse.

  • I have 5 cornish rex cats. I adore them all and are just like having a dog. Great Video!!

  • ah, no wonder. so they are dog-like. that explains why my new roommate's cornish rex wants attention from me all the time. he's actually pretty high maintenance lol

  • maintainence in food and grooming?

  • no, i mean he always wants to be petted, and he's very vocal, especially in the middle of the night.

  • i was reading a cat fancy and they had pics of these cats and i was laughing cuz it was so cute but weird looking at the same time lmao

    i want one

  • No. Turns out its not herpes, and the vets are confused. It could be leukemia, i'm waiting on blood test results. Thanks for your sympathy bitch.

  • lol

  • i want a hypoallergenic one

  • these cats do shed fur, I have 2 cornies

  • oh darn! the lady said that they don't shed! Well maybe as much as humans shed? Allergies come from their saliva, I know, but with their fur floating in the air and all over the place it gets worse. AND I get fur in my allergic eyes sometimes! It's the worst, and hard to get out because it's hard to find tiny little white hairs in my eyes!

  • no i don't i mean this breed of cat.

  • i want 1 soooooo bad!!!!!

  • I was shocked the first time I saw a Cornish Rex. A friend of mine was sitting the cats for a neighbor and wanted me to see them, so I went and I couldn't believe it when I went in, the three cats ran up to me all meowing! I was like "Are you guys sure these aren't dogs!?" Their fur is so soft too... I'm really thinking about getting a Cornish or Devon Rex as soon as I have my own place. They're truly amazing cats!

  • wooow...a sheep cat!

  • I want one! Where can I go to get a Cornish Rex? I've heard the same thing about them from a friend who picked up an abandoned rex kitten.

  • I got my rex from this lady.

  • My cornie was so friendly that every room mate I had tried to kidnap him when moving out.

  • Very good quick video about the Cornish Rex cats. What they say here pretty much explains why I call them 'dog-cats'.

Some people find them ugly, others find them cute. But one thing's certain: They are GREAT cats!

  • I have a Cornish Rex citty. Shes 2 years old, shes werry friendly and she is just like the video says. Sooper cute. <3

  • Don't be put off by their somewhat odd appearance... I had one for 14 years and they are SUCH A GREAT CAT.

Plus, if you have allergies to dander: it's perfect. My dad has severe cat allergies and this didn't bother him. It'd be a good idea to check first though.

They are very vocal though :P. That I can atest to!

  • its like a sphynx with a little bit more hair

  • cool. I used to have a cornish rex named Mipsyrp.

  • That chick seems kinda nervous!

  • yea she does

  • lol she wont look at the camera she will glance like once or twice and thats it lol

  • I lived with a cornish rex for awhile. he was the sweetest thing. i miss him so. R.I.P. Macaroni.

  • "Cornish Rex doesn't shed" = HUGE LIE

  • I was lucky enough to adopt two of Haley's Cornish Rex kittens. Before these kittens, I had a Cornish Rex cat for 13 years.

I GUARANTEE you that Cornish Rex do not shed. My home has no cat hair. This is not a lie.

I love that about Cornish Rex - no shedding :) Of course, I love everything else about them too!

  • cornish rex cats DO shed, they may not leave visible hair all over your house. they do not have constant growing hair like we do, or poodles that needs to be clipped or cut. think about it, if your cats never shed they'd have the same hair they had since they were kittens! hair comes off my cornish when i pet her, but they just don't have enough hair to make it a visible issue in our homes.

  • Cornish Rex know NO strangers!

  • if i ever get another cat i think i would consider one of these...i love curly coated animals!

  • i grew up with cornish rex's and my parents own one, they rule!!

  • Rex cats are the best. They have amazing personalities. =^.^=

  • i have a cornish rex/sphenx mixed. she is awesome. i am gonna post a video of her here soon. she is so special. she is my third cornish rex!!

  • yeh they sure do!!!! they are awsome

  • PS: That first B/W cat looks so much like mine!

Oh, I should also add, they are fairly high maintence compaired to domestic short haired. Their ears need to be cleaned all the time and they are generally high energy and high agility cats, eg, they get into everything!

  • I have a male rex. He only sheds if it is time for him to get a bath (every 2 weeks or so), and it is very minimal. My mom and boyfriend are severly allergic to cats but not to him. This is no guarantee so spend time in a rex only house before considering to adopt!

  • I have two, they shed, but for mine, at least, it is only about the size of a cotton ball per year.

  • *sheads

  • They do shead!!!!! I have one. They are adorable and everything on this video but they do shead. I don't want someone getting it because it doesn't shead and then have to give it up because it shes.

  • wow they are good cats
