You would think the RepubliCON Party would ask for a FEDERAL BAILOUT due to their holding NO true VALUE anymore, embarrassing down-sizing, & being TOTALLY unsuccessful when it comes to having a say in ANY matters which reach the House or Senate Floor. (LOL)

If the GOP wants to improve its image it's going to have to stop supporting, promoting, & protecting the agendas of big fascist corporations over the rights & freedoms of the people. Further, they need to stop randomly throwing ethnic republicans into the spotlight in hopes of making brownie points. It's obviously manipulative. Lastly, they need to leave their bibles & crosses at home. Most only carry them as props to fool religious zealots into voting for them. It's obviously insincere.

I hear goldwater was decent even where i may disagree with him.
So to start, stop trying to be the party of god and reagan and try to be a party that is able to work with others and not be all or nothing on most issues.

Goldwater was a good politician, though I disagree with his position on the bomb.
I agree on "the part of god and reagan" bit. It doesn't help that their "young hopefuls" are inarticulate dunderheads (Jindal and Palin).
I want to see old style conservatives, secularists in the form of Goldwater who regard the Constitution is the be all and the end all. Those guys make for great debate, whether you agree with them or not.
