I think a violent videogame could influence a violent/disturbed individual.
It could light the fuse.
BUT they were already set to explode anyway if it wasnt the videogame it would be something else.
They are a minority in any case, i mean millions play videogames violent or otherwise so statistically and probalistically you are talking 1 in a several millions in any one year.
Two words sum it all:
collateral damage
Any product has a statistically calculable risk.

I firmly believe that most problems with kids come from bad parenting. And no parents ever want to admit they made mistakes with their kids... even though the mistakes they make are typically just repeat mistakes that their parents also made.
Thus the cycle continues and f*ed-up stuff keeps being taught (or hidden) from children. We must, as a species, maximize our children's education by teaching them how to think and rationalize.
