  • I've had male for year and half. Take 30 min or more time each night won't make him lonely. But now. We got us a new Joey. She a female and we one of us holding her constantly because she won't stay in her pouch. She fall asleep when holding her and she so cute. We going to introduce her o male once they know each other scent by switching thei bags then we introduce when she mature or old enough to start a colonies :) we love em they are funny

  • if anyone lives in san antonieo tell me where you can get one

  • i want one sooo bad where did you get it

  • KILL IT ;A;

  • if i one day adopt an sugar glider i will call him ; MOMO

  • Lovely

  • i want one so bad.

  • I read that sugar gliders should be kept in pairs as they are very socialble and get lonely : (

  • @ElvisLivesUpstairs you should get more than one if you can because they are animals that live in colonies, but if you have adequate time each day to devote to playing with it and give it alot of attention you should be fine with just one, and if you wanted to add another one later on you could do so...but just make sure you introduce them correctly.

  • i think thats your responsibility to prevent it from feeling lonely lol

  • @GearHeadHeart But you can't be with it 24/7......

  • @GearHeadHeart plus they cant adapt to you as much as they could another sugar glider.

  • cool it jumps like a sgirruel i never knew it flies never knew that this is first time knowing about a sugar glider

  • An error occurred, please try again later.

I have receiving this message after 10 views.

  • Yes they are expensive, they are from Aussie. Not mention how hard to take care of them. They do die easily :(

  • how expensive r these

  • @werew110 The cost of purchasing a Sugar Glider depends on who you/where you purchase them. I suggest you do some research talk to people who have purchased Sugar Gliders in your area. Also check to make sure they are legal to own in your state and/or county. There are a lot of other things to consider as well so please be sure to do research on them. They require a lot of care and attention and need a large space to explore and live cage/enclosure wise.

  • Sooooo cute! :)

  • how long do they normaly live for?

  • @MogeyMoge sugar gliders live up to 15 years as far as i know

  • @MogeyMoge

They can live up to 12 years in captivity. However, if you're thinking of buying one with the out look of all they need is the same type of care of a Hamster or Gerbil then I suggest you do a bunch of research. They require a lot of care and you will need to purchase a cage that is at least 4 foot wide by 4 foot deep by 6 foot tall so that they can explore and have enough room to stay healthy. They are also very social therefore require attention like is given to a bird or dog.

  • HOPPY DEE HOPPY DEE HOP. lol

  • Aww hes soo adorable i love gliders i also have a glider named taz hes about 6 months old

  • are they messy????/

  • @B4IRUTUARU16 kind of you have just gotta keep there cage cleen all the time or it will smell soooo bad and be messy and gross

  • haha i am lucky I live in Ohio and many large pet stores around me sell sugar gliders for around 250-300 a piece! =]

  • yea cali is dumb thats y i wanna move so i can get one

  • God its one of the cutest pets ever. DAMN YOU CALIFORNIA AND YOUR FINICKY EXOTIC PET LAWS!!

  • SO CUTE. kept running back to the arm . ((:

  • how old? mine opened his eyes about 5 days ago. i got him to run by putting him on the top of my couch and moving my hand off. he still didnt jump.

  • Ok who gave the Sugar glider Mountain Dew?

  • lol

  • Thats one cute suggy :L

  • Where cant i Buy this Pet ? : )

  • Well most sigar gliders are expensive. If gliders are cheap dont get them. They usually have health problems that will show up the older they get

  • cute

  • lol the look like furry lizards when the walk

  • Omg my parents are getting me one i cant wait they are absolutly adorable... Any advice?

  • Go to GliderCentral. They will tell you everything you need to know, Also, feel free to message me at any time and I will answer any/all of your questions. I own 3 gliders at the moment. My 2 year old Miki has a joey IP as well

  • Oooo...so cute!! I wish they were legal where I live.

  • awesome

  • Aww, I can tell it really likes you, it keeps jumping over toward you. That is so fricken cute. ;)

  • you can get them from pendnagrass fleamarklet they caused me 375$ for mine and i have two they have every thing you need to make sure your gliders are healthy and very happy

  • 375? u got ripped. here they cost like 40-120 bucks

  • Ioled at 0:23 he looks around like where do I hop to next? ah there!

  • Lol what an adorable little thing...i have two of my own named micky and mallory theyre both girls and yes they stink really bad but they are so adorable. Oh and can someone please send me a message telling me how to take them out during daylight?send me a message

  • ahaha to cute (L)

  • these guys are so cute

  • how do you get these animals?

  • AW! HOW CUTE!

  • that is way too cute!

  • OMG! i love how it walks! like, it doesn't just walk...it hops! HOW CUTE IS THAT?!?! <3

  • TOO CUTE.

  • are sugar gliders easy to care for? and do they make the room that you keep them in smell, like if you have guinea pigs?

  • I have sugar gliders, don't listen to what anyone says - THEY DO SMELL. I have literally 8 extra strength car fresheners in my room in the surrounding area to make it "OK" to sit in. I have two males, i've heard females are slightly different. (And i do keep the cage clean)

  • If they stink you should try getting them neutered it will make their scent glands close up if that doesnt work then you should try changing their diet because if they still stink it would mean that they have a unbalanced vitamin intake

  • I've thought about getting them neutered, but I feel like the procedure would stress them out ENTIRELY too much, getting them to a vet, the whole nine yards...They're fairly sensitive little critters & i'd rather deal with how they smell than trauamtize the poor things :(

  • ?.? mine doesnt stink i have a litle girl though so that might be why and ive been around males and I dont find them very stinky, though my nose is very picky about what it will smell.....I wierd XD

  • the dont look like mice mice are ugly. and sugar gliders are like kangaroos marsupials they have their babies in pouches and mice give birth normaly

  • Does anyone know why my sugar gliders will coward in the light. I have had them for 1 year now and had to play with them in a dark room because they do not like light. Someone please, please help me

  • Well because they are nocturnal when it is light outside it akes them feel like they should be alseep so it makes them think they should be asleep unless it is dark

  • Glider bites aren't that bad at all. You just have to not put your fingers in their faces, they think its food. Usually when my friends glider bites at me it stings, but for the most part it just a nip. Just keep your fingers out of their face, don't aggitate them, and all is usually well.

  • I stared down a grizzly bear, swatted a mountain lion, and told a tiger shark to kiss my pale ass. However, my sugar gliders scare me. Or at least they used to. A couple little bites can make you gun shy, but c'mon, it doesn't really hurt. I followed some good advice and held the gliders and listened to them cry and crab until they got over it and now we're all friends. Worked for me. If you wanna real pocket pet, you have to breed and bond when they're barely out of the pouch.

  • whever my glider bites, i dont pull away, ya rlly effective, then he comes back 20 zillion times to bite HARDER! what do i do???

  • Tof, sounds like you'll just have to deal with the harder bites. Just try to imagine what he'll be like when he's bonded. c:

  • He is sooo Cute!!!

    Where do you live?

Not being a stalker.... I just wanted to know where you get your gliders at.

  • Actually, getting bit by a sugar glider hurts a ton. My brother's dad had a sugar glider named Merlin, and I was told that a way to bond with it was to let it bite you and don't pull away or shout at it. I've been bitten by dogs, cats, and even geese, but the sugar glider's bite hurts the worst. DX

  • So adorable. When they are just tiny and silly and everything is new... *SIGH*

Not that they aren't STILL adorable. My youngest (I have 3) is 5 and I STILL think they are the cutest things ever. BUT joeys are just DARLING.

  • how old was he in this video?

  • wow. hes so hyper. hes so cute! taz is a wonderful name. i love it. lol

  • That's my glides name! cute

  • haha mine too :P

  • my suger gliders name is kenya i call her kitty =P

  • they ook like monkeys

  • my sugar glider named Matt just learned how to glide woohoo

  • she looks so cute hopping around like that

  • that one is biggg D:

  • My little sugar glider Panda has just learned to jump too ;D

  • Mine just learned jumping too!!! She jumps everywhere now!

  • haha. my cuz has 3 sugar gliders, a parrot, a fish, 1 kinkajou, and a lizard.you can say he is an exotic animal fan. i have 2 coatmundis, demon and cooner

  • dooooooooooooooooooood awsome im going to buy one my mm says they get annoying during the night (im like idc..... i slept through my sister shaveign my legs with an electric shaver i can deal with barking)

  • what a cuttie..!

  • I have 4 sugar gliders and they are so much fun to watch. They remind me of a 2 year old. they are realy easy to take care of too.

  • california has rich people. california has endangered birds. rich people bird-watch. ferrets eat birds.

That statement is untrue, unlike most domesticated predatory animal, ferrets CANNOT survive in the wild once it is domesticated. Its irrational lack of fear will kill it, or the lack of hunting instincts, and it has no homing instinct. Feral ferrets die. Don't let your ferrets loose unless you want him to die.

  • i want one soooo bad but they are expensive

  • depends on where you go and who you use. You might want to try an older glider, they are usually cheaper or someone who needs to downsize.

  • thanks

  • @Stoner000000 and really hard to care for. i have two but i love them to death they just take up a lot of time.

  • @Stoner000000 if u look on craigslist, they have them pretty cheap with everything. my first suggie came from there and she came with a cage, food for 2 years, a couple toys, and vitamins for $150

  • hullo kathy

  • SO CUTE! Does anyone know if its ultra hard to get 'em across the boarder from the States to Canada?

  • how are they illegal? O.o im gonna get one soon

  • Some states are just STUPID!!!! In California still......suggies and ferrets are illegal. They cant come up with one good reason that makes sense for keeping that law

  • @sbur1 and hedgehogs.

  • @sbur1 Although you may have a point,

the reason why laws like that don't get re-peeled is the simple fact of time, it takes time to ban something, and it is even more of a hassle to undo that restriction. and because congress generally feels they don't have time to deal with less important things like that the bans stay in play.

  • @oddmanelf When were the laws peeled to begin with? LOL... re-peeled...

  • @sbur1 IKR I live in massachusetts but i just read that they're not legal here but I WANT ONE SO BAD WHEN IM OLDER!!!

  • @sbur1 yea but people have them anyway =p only problem is they get denied by vets because they are illegal =( unless you have a permit i guess.

  • @anonwillprevail247 depends where you go. I own two with my girlfriend and in states where they are legal, you just need to take them to an exotic vet.

  • @sbur1 its the tree huggers they are all about animals being free and blah blah blah with their pot smoking hippie ways those damn dirty filthy weirdos

  • @JakeAV23 U are a ignorant and dont that clever... redneck i think. stupid idiot!!!

  • @BLOWtrain009 theyre not you need a licence

  • i think you can have them in Cali. if you get a lisence.

well hopefully because i have two male sugar gliders and im moving to california soon.

  • No you cant have them even with a license.

  • @sbur1 California seems to be a real paradise.............To be clear, you can drive hybrid craps and marry your gay dog but every other things are "VERBOTEN".......When this state will stop to enclose freedom of its citizens, there will be far less earthquakes. It's well known, god hates lefty-fascists....LOL

  • very cute.but i personally have a crush on thr red squirrel.but here in germany we are not allowed to have them as pets.none of both not the sugar glider and not the red squirrel.i wish you luck with your little buddy and enjoy your time with this awesome creature.

  • ahhh so sorry you arent able to get one of these lovely creatures. Keep checking into different animals if your looking for something. You might find something you never heard of and can have! I love raccoons but they make bad pets so I got a coatimundi. There are videos up of her if you would like to see.

  • what's a coatimundi? and do they make good pets?

  • i don't know what a coatimundi is, but that video is a sugar glider. those make good pets depending on how much time and effort the owner can commit to the glider. in many cases, yes.

  • What a little cutie :D

  • omg i just want to take him home now so I can start bonding with him. He is gonna love him new cage with his little tree fort! ha

  • omg that is so cool. He looks so big! wow i don't even recognize him at all! I cannot wait to see him.
