Passed thru Tucumcari about 1AM. On leave from USMC, 1972 when it was dangerous to wear a military uniform (people wanted us dead). Stopped at truck stop in Tucumcari, was still wearing uniform, someone paid for my coffee. Thank you.

@likekinds I wish there were some way you could get Jimmie Rodgers' name in the title. When I did a search, all I came up with for Rodgers and Tucumcari was that butchered version he did with Jimmie Durante. My two favorite songs at the start of my senior year of high school were this one and Sarah Vaughn's Broken Hearted Melody.
