  • its criss not chris

  • I've always hated it when rock bands smash their instruments. I think it started as a symbol of the rebellious nature of rock, but I can't help but see it as very wasteful.

  • I bet none of them knew kiss would be jamming 36 years years later

  • GO BABY DRIVER

  • ACE FREHLEY RULES

  • An odd note about Criss, he was stacking splashes and bells on top of his crashes back in '75?! I didn't think anyone did that until the 80's ...

    Oh, and great finale!!

  • 1975 not 1977...one of the all time great heavy rock songs...brilliant!

  • Ace, one of the original shredmasters!

  • it wasn't in "Blck&whte".

  • It'sfrom '75

  • This was KISS was young, hungry...and pissed!

    Great performance!

  • truly a class act. I used to have all their 8 track tapes,ha ha.

  • DAMN!!!!

  • love aces solo @3:34

  • At the end of the video you can see people running up to get Peter's kick drums. Wonder if anyone still has those?

I love this song. It freeeeekin rocks!

    This

  • @Eddie7068 they had people go into the crowd and grab em cause they did have a lot of cash to replce em or if they didnt get them theyoffer a backstag meet and greet

  • Check out 2:10-2:30, one of KISS's most exciting musical passages in their entire catalog. In my humble opinion.

  • Lucky me, I became a fan in 1976 and got to see them in Charlotte in 76, 77, 78. All sold out shows and Ace Frehley blasted that place to bits! I'm 54, and I'll never forget it. The joy Ace's music brought wow....

  • this is 1975, not 1977. Fact. They are wearing the hotter than hell regalia.

  • You can feel the energy flowing and flooding the stage.

    Wonderful Kiss!!

  • temaso absoluto , tiene un sentimiento tan grande . por mucho tiempo mi favorito.

  • More cowbell!

  • Peter Criss was a solid vocalist a true Rock & Roll singer !

  • Loved it when Peter Chris sang.

  • Kiss sure did rock the 70s , love them.

  • Somebody screwed up here, but this isn't 1977 for sure. I know this for a fact. Also those costumes were boxed by 1977. They were already 2 years into the Destroyer costumes by then DUMB ASS

  • its 1977, dumb ass

  • This video is from 1975. In 1975 this was considered good broadcast capture video.

  • No sorry its 75. The Hotter Than Hell the guys are wearing the Hotter Than hell costumes. If this were 77 you would see gene with the dragon boots.

  • The Hotter Than Hell Era Circa 1975

  • yeah it sounds different but this is just as heavy as any Metallica.

  • Paul and that Gibson L6-Deluxe. Love it!!!!! He's the reason I have two in my collection from '74 and '76.

  • what a performace!! thanks for postinng!!

  • Speechless.

  • 1 word! BRILLIANT!!! BEST early live performance I've ever seen & i've seen lots of KISS shows.

The Midnight Special was 1 OUT of the box that night. Loud, Raw, Passionate and uncompromising!

THIS was the REAL KISS we all learnt to love in those days!

Its amazing what hunger & passion can DO to make a band play its hearts out & they succeeded on this night!

    ***** Boys!

  • Couldn't have said it better myself. Absolute brilliance.

  • This is what I remember seeing ! The Drums rising up. I later saw KISS in concert at Pine Bluff Ark.('78?)They arose out of the stage, blew fireballs off the ceiling, shot rockets from Aces guitar....!!! I saw Boston,Aerosmith,Frampton,Clapton,Ozzy,Allmans,Doobies @ PB ConvCtr....KISS blew em all AWAY. Defntly worth the $8.50? ticket

  • the rush the stage to take his drums LOL

  • wow! Pete's the man!!! :--)

  • freakin awesome!! they were too advanced for their time!!

  • KISS RAISES HELL, and that is what we damn love about them! Rock on Ace, we love you always. a 53 year old fan here:) Lance in beautiful Bremerton, Washington

  • I can't believe it! I swear this is video from the first time I ever saw Kiss. As someone posted below, I believe this was indeed from 1975. I think it was from July Fourth weekend 1975, to be exact. I remember seeing them tearing up the drums, the explosions and thinking how cool it was. Well, a few months passed and I forgot about them. Then one day I heard "Rock 'n' Roll All Night" on the radio. They had hit it big-time. I immediately had to get Kiss Alive!, one of the greatest albums EVER!

  • Playing on your knees like Jimi Hendrix and tearing up your drum set like Keith Moon...

    Good stuff!

  • Any other KISS fans blown away by this footage???? This is everything I like about KISS.

  • KISS was the hardest rocking band of the time

  • kiss kicked fukin' ass,you are totally right. But,the same era,had my fav. as well,Ozzy& sabbath, you agree?Even though they are,[in my opinion]2 different types of smash your head in tunes.Fuck what i would give to be back in those days

  • man at the end of that if i was in the audience i would grabbing what i could from the drum set

  • I wonder if any of them actually got to keep the drums. BTW it was 1975.

  • yeh I know, shame people cant get the years right if it was '77 it would be a lot more flashy and stuff and not as raw as this

  • Crap! This was way BETTEr than 77! KISS were on FIRE here mate! This is 1 of the BEST live per4mances of KISS I have ever seen from the really early days C74-75. By 77 things started to slide down hill into parsimony! But hey, thats what FAME does when it replaces hunger and passion!

This ROCKED. I saw the other 2 songs they did on that night but NOT this 1. This was INSANE!

  • i wasnt dissin' early kiss i was saying that if this WAS '77 there would be like stairs and tigers and stuff, i agree and think their best days were 74-75 when they were doing it for the hunger and passion...that's when they were brilliant.

  • I think it isn´t 77. It´s 74

  • yeah you are right.they wearing the HOTTER THAN HELL costumes

  • Early 75, KISS did the Midnight Special in Jan 75 i think! It was early in the yea anyhoo.

  • gene rulez

  • KISS RULES! FOREVER!

  • Don't msake them like that anymore :)
