i can say one of the smartest moves the tv networks made was to cancelled full house, it was really suposted to be cancelled at season 3 but the guy who made the show paid them until abc said no, full house was a piece of shit anyway
I realize you might at the time have trouble finding Voyager;s final episode, but with reruns alone I watched it twice. Its very easy to find, I even think Youtube has it. A great episode I might add.
DS9, was the only realistic Star Trek of them all - People actually died, and you didn't have to wear a special tunic/uniform to a "designated casualty", also people got incurable illnesses and died.
During battle scenes there was blood and gore, and their enemies were smart not other Star Trek shows types who were routinely out-smarted by the captain giving them a "logic talking to", DS9 was far more realistic.
Phasers to stun, while your enemies were using disruptors, was just laughable,
Some shows I wish that they had at least a final episode are:
Drive, Terminator Show, Reno 911, Dirt, The Riches, My Name is Earl. All of which should have at least a final episode to tie the loose ends up and show what happens to the characters. That's me.
As for the shows I miss, I've already downloaded or purchased Star Trek DS9, Babylon5, Rome on dvds and watch the Relic Hunter via the internet's tv websites and on YouTube. Sometimes, I'll watch the older comedies from 5, 10, 15, 30+years back. You can also obtain tv shows on iTunes.
I worked for a market research company speaking to people on tv and radio preferences and found that the most intelligent people(This is an unbiased opinion) were those who thought as you do
I think what I hate most about cable TV, is that we already pay to have cable, so why should we have to pay again by watching TV commercials. Also, I think that most TV commercials talk down to people, and instead of telling us facts about a product, they try to sell us an image.
I so agree with you. I think one of the things about advertizing is that it tries to fit it's supposed target market into what it should have instead of what people really need and want. That's patronizing at best, and it's another reason to despise mainstream. I despise "reality tv" as well because it has absolutely nothing to do with what is real and what isn't and reduces human beings to behaving like idiots for the sake of 15 minutes of fame.
@biggydman I loveeeedddd Earth 2! It should of lasted a lot longer !!! Thanks I am writting an article on my blog on shows that should not have been cancelled too soon and I was missing one ! Thanks
I used to like Discovery Channel, but I was VERY disappointed when I saw that they had infomercials on at night. That said an awful lot about how the channel was being run. I do like The Deadliest Catch and Ice Road Truckers.
You aint going to believe this BUT I went without "TV" (reception) for like 8 years or so. I would buy a DVD that I thought I'd like ect ect, lots like what you said your doing now. With that said, a recent show I loved was "TRU", now THAT was a great show. So if I have to pick one, it would be Tru! I have season 1 and 2 on DVD, 2nd season was shortened and there was like only 5-6 episodes released, for that year. Great show! 5*;s 2 ya bro.
I have never heard of TRU, I'll do a search for it and check it out. Whenever I think about getting cable TV again, I just ask myself, "When would I ever find time to just sit and watch it without feeling guilty about all the things I should be doing."
i loved arrested development and the wire. i got them all on dvd .
im not a fan of tv we dont have any tv reception either, we get our 'tv' on line or buy them.
peanut wanted to say hello to me :)
my friends came over today and they were curious about the calender. they wondered who you were and if you were a celebrity or some thing, lol, i told them you are :)
I liked Arrested Development, but I had to watch several episodes in a row on DVD because the show seemed to be over very fast, and one episode just was not enough.

Yeah, and all of those shows are already taped and the show has been done for like 6 months before the final episode airs. So, how is that "REAL"?

Lets see, what shows do I think should go back on air..
Firehouse USA on the Discovery Channel, that should be resurrected
Paramedics which was on TLC should also go back on the air.
Speed TV should drop some of their shitty NASCAR and F1 programming and bring back their coverage of the WRC.
And finally, Fastlane should come back on air, just for the glorious excess that it was.
And I already gave you my idea on the 'stach! Shave half and leave the other!
