@Batchex In terms of the GPU the xbox is actually better, it's traditional and so on the multi platform games, the xbox has the slight edge, cause most manufacturer;s cbf to spend ages writing codes specifically designed to use all of the PS3's 7 CPU's that can assist the GPU. but when they do, like in some PS3 exclusive, well the PS3 makes the Xbox look like a wii.

The 360 is a very good gaming machine and if you only want to play some awesome games, its absolutly the better option.

But better graphics??? Did you even see this vid at all??? The scope and scale is fucking mind-blowing. And Killzone 2, heavenly sword, GT5, heavy rain, MGS4, Uncharted and Uncharted 2, beats the 360's graphics easily.

Comparing multiplatform games is pretty stupid because in some games the 360 will win the better graphics and in others the PS3. It's better to compare exclusives since that represents the full capabilites of the hardware and these test you are talking about were about the hardware and the 360 did win some rounds but overall, it is the weaker console.

Like it or not. But again, the 360 is the perfect choice if you are only interested in games.

And while it's true that the 360 has slighty more powerful GPU the Ps3 has the Cell Processor (CPU) which gives the PS3 the advantage over the 360 since the Cell can overtake tasks from the GPU. Which means the GPU can get even more powerful.

But the 360 is an excellent choice if you only want to play games since it is cheaper. Cheaper is good.

I wonder if PC is using such revolutionary new tool or if it is to early. Ps, ram and CPU is completely diffrent. Ram has many areas and is divided among diffent factors and one factor is helping the GPU rendering. CPU is only used for calculations but with the Cell, that has changed. And that's the reason why PS3 can produce graphics above it's GPU level.

@ballz300 You're wrong. IBM actually staged an demo we're the entire enviroment was completely rendered with only the cell processor and ND used it in U2. It is a revolution, even if you do not like it. Sure, there are problems with the cell such as it lacks the devkits but that's nothing time can't solve. And yes, the Cell can't render the GPU but it can render graphics, which is the main purpose of the GPU.

Now don't feel bad because I'm right and you're wrong we are both gamers here.

@mastergremlin ignore that last bit about a link...the cell processor can aid in ray tracing...unfortunately ray tracing is only REALLY effective with light and shadow and doesn't work very well in real time...again maybe for the next gen PS software developers will figure out a way to efficiently use this...for now it's too damn complicated in a console...it's almost a revolution...this was used in 08' for quake wars...let's try and be civil here lol

@ballz300 yes, the cell is being used for ray tracing which can be seen in Killzone 2's "bullet effect". But the cell is also capable in rendering graphics where it can be seen in Uncharted 2. Look up "behind the scenes" for U2 and you will find it.

However, if you really want to see something impressive then you should look up here on youtube. Search "Infinity game engine demo" or their newest tech demo called "Infinity Pre-Alpha Tech Demo April 2010 - Part 1" That's fucking awesome.
