Its just to expensive for Hydrogen then pure electric. To produce Hydrogen is far more expensive but to have a more officiant grid and to build electric charging stations is so much easier. All you have to do is use solar, wind, and/or Geo thermal for an electrical source if you don't want to tap into the normal electric grid. Not only that but to use waste as fuel with bacteria, that coast would be extremely low compared to Hydrogen.

@Copper4head true enough, Washington handled the BP mess horribly and it reflects badly on our domestic society's economy. We are too dependent on oil, we consume 50% of oil on transportation. Do you know how much more domestically profitable we can become if we become more self sustaining. Instead of a huge sluggish good country, with gaps all over the civilized spectrum, and our great history.

Clean energy won't work. We are a nation that loves their vans, SUVs and 4x4 trucks. 90% of all vehicles driven are gas guzzlers. What you all need to do is RAISE the cost of gasoline to at least $4.00 a gallon if not more and create a gasoline tax to help pay for the Federal deficit. ONE crop lead the human race from an agricultural society, to a technological one, and its not corn, its not soy, its not beans.

Until Hemp is legalized, there are no effective alternatives to petroleum. Farmers want to grow hemp, it was, and can be used as the counter rotated crop around corn, soy, etc.

Because of staunch bigotry it was made illegal, then when the World Wars came, it was made legal all of the sudden. In this time of need, we require it again, and permanently.
