  • I love it. Wonderful music and such great comedy as well!!! It was one of my favorite songs growing up so it is amusing to hear it this way.

  • awesome..!!!!!

    wanna ukulele

  • @YSsleN GET ONE! There amazing!

  • Great Performance, I must admit. From an English man in Germany, Thumbs up!

  • One and a half million hits speaks for itself. Here's to the next 25 years. :D

  • great stuff... love to watch your videos ...

  • 0:40 lets cut to the token lack man, he looks like shaft

  • Wonderful!

  • They say this Ukulele Orchestra is a bad...

  • 58 people prefer banjos!

  • I love how they film the only black guy on that funky bass line.

    0:35

  • you guys really should try some rhythm rings for ukulele.

  • @TheGmcFilms shut the fuck up

  • I can dig it!!!!!

  • I can dig it.

  • Beaucoup de talents chez ces musiciens !

  • Thats was a rendition of the shaft theme song done with ukuleles which was absoloutly brilliant and now over to brian with a black man.

  • Funnily enough I have. I play the guitar Paul as you do, and, with the ukelele in conjunction with a bottleneck, a pick up and G2 Zoom effects pedal with the TAP function with a five second delay, a la, Brian May Its rather interesting...That raised a few eyebrows in McCormacks in Glasgow...Google the effects pedal Paul its a rather good one, but then again I have a feeling that you already have some good gear mate...Mix it up, turn it inside out, and see what you get...G...

  • @TheGmcFilms

You don't like the music of the EO of GB?

Well they have been going in excess of 25 years , played all over the world, inc the Albert Hall. they have more musical talent that you will ever know or indeed possess. Not only music but comedy thrown in to boot. Let's see how much of your stuff is on Youtube in 10 years time. Your attitude is totally Crass.

Bye bye Mr. GMCFilms (inc in hollywood nodoubt ) LMAO

  • @TheGmcFilms

59? you really do believe all you read on Y.T. don't you.

You really must get out more.

Bye Bye little man. Keep up with your homework, especially your English.

    Final Yawn.

  • Excellent parody work! These cats are great!

  • lol execllent 10000000000000000000% the best

  • @TheGmcFilms

You do beg the question ..."Why did you view this?"

Just for the record..."dough" is a mix of flour, water and yeast.....putting a "t" on it still doesn't spell "doubt".

I will leave you to work out "incidentally".

    WICKED MAAAN!!

    Nowt trendi bart descent mewzic.

  • @TheGmcFilms

    Hee hee!

We will have to agree to differ, my friend.

Talent is talent. What other folks get from it, is up to them.

Have you ever tried to play one of these things?

    Cheers,

    P

  • @Gangly1 See above Paul. I forgot to press that bloody reply button...G...

  • @TheGmcFilms

What the hell are you talking about ???!!!!- Is that English, Serbian - WTF dude- learn a language

  • @TheGmcFilms let it go mate, don't use the Ukele as an excuse to lash out at the world, yes it has a place in cheeky chirpy cockney music halls parodied so well in the fast show, but where I live it's a a cool instrument to play when you're sitting by the beach watching the sun turn the sky red. Don't blame the Ukele for societies failings or the people who can actually play one.

As for the condescending toffs, at the end of the day, they really do suck balls and deep down they know they do.

  • I can dig it.

  • that was good...but they forgot to say that that cat Shaft is a bad motha------

    (SHUT YOUR MOUTH!)

    but I'm 'bout Shaft!

    (but we can dig it!)

  • @jseal14 they do say that in other youtube performances of this (or rather, they say something similar, with their own usual humourous modifications).

  • Jonty (bass guitar) is so hot! *-*

  • 55 people didn't wait until they started with "SHAFT"

  • press 7 or 8 fast. and they are amazing!

  • wt ?? i thought ukelele can't be that big...

  • @yeahyeahnatnat if you mean the one on the far end, it's an acoustic bass guitar, not a ukulele

  • this is freakin' amazing...

  • That woman scares the shit out of me with her head-bobbing..

  • The best thing they've done. Fantastic.

  • 1:25 Whitest "can you dig it" I've ever heard. LOL

  • "That's what it says on my folk song transcription song sheet"

  • awsome

  • amazing

  • 'Greet Brettun'? WTF is that?

  • "What's the most important thing about a coal mine apart from coal?"

    "Shaft!"

"No no no, it's the Davy safety lamp - completely different piece of apparatus."

  • the greatest version of the best movie theme of aaaaaaaaaaaaaallll time!

  • finally something good coming out of the UK.

  • @bmscolom Mate that was the most condescending comment you could have possibly made, perhaps you forgot that the UK produced bands like the Stones, the Beatles, Dire Straits, Led Zepplin, the Kinks, the Who, Queen, mate the list goes on and on, and that's just bands, the Brits live on an island smaller than some of your states yet spawned people who changed history for the better, people like Charles Darwin, Stephen Hawkin, Issac Newton, William Shakespear.

    Stereotypes are so 1980's.

  • lol, white people

  • Saw them two days ago in Nottingham and we got the question, "what's the animal common in New Zealand covered in fur (he got laughed at by the rest of the group for saying fur rather than wool) - sheep."

  • @2:19 you can see gandalf!!!!

  • Playing shaft *point camera at only black man*

  • 0:28 William Shatner

  • This is just bad-ass. Great tune especially on the ukulele.

  • really good music.inspired me to take up the ukulele.check out my videos as well.cheers

  • Is that the legendary Del Bromham (not Deb Bonham), guitarist from 'Stray' moonlighting on Ukulele on the far left?

  • @bullloaf lol, his name's David Suich :)

  • The only thing funnier might be my 86+ yr old (and just as white) mom singing along on this.

  • I remember at the Auckland concert last year they had "What's the plural for those fluffy white mammals that are found in New Zealand" (Or something like that)

    SHEEP!

  • No, it's the Davies Safety Lamp!

  • Was that Shaft at 0:40??

  • Funny how as soon as it is obvious that the song is Shaft they show a black guy.

  • I do like the woman wearing black shirt, especially at the moment 2:45 to 2:48 :D

  • Comment removed

  • They got bass ukeleles now?! Or just cut off 2 strings of a 6-string?

  • @goodmaro there are bass ukuleles (try to google U-bass) But the UOGB uses an acoustic guitar with bass strings.

  • @InfiniteLaundry Okay, on rerunning the vid I counted four pegs on the headstock. Is it a small acoustic bass guitar?

  • @DMinorminorpremise not atall...

  • @DMinorminorpremise yes, it's exactly that

  • I like how they showed the only black guy in the audience!

  • Daaaamn right!

Fantastic stuff, folks - I've just spent the best part of an hour going through all your videos on YouTube, and am greatly impressed both by you musicianship and humour.

  • awwwww they didnt say "shaft is a bad mother..... Shut yo mouth! Im just talkin bout shaft!"

  • I see the purchase of a Ukelele in my near future.

  • I dont get the reference here.. what is Shaft? anyone?

  • @gaoyusi85 shaft is a movie from 1971 about a private investistigator named John Shaft

  • @gaoyusi85 - If that's a serious question, Shaft is a 1971 movie which has achieved legendary status

  • 0:25 the bassist looks a little a little weird. (:

  • lol Isaac Hayes does it better XD, but its ok, not bad

  • OH MY GOODNESS!! this is just great!! hilarious !

  • Beautiful, so special!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @HooLooVu Tell me something I don't know- as I posted before I concede they are brilliant musicians, I've seen them a few times live but the only good stuff is when someone does a solo turn. It's their comedic approach that makes me embarrassed for them. It makes a joke of the instrument which I love and they are selling it short. Most attempts at comedy in music fail badly and they prove that by making 3rd rate parodies and doing the songs no justice.

  • @kenrussellspulse Then don't listen to/watch it.

"Doctor, it hurts when I move my arm like this!"

"Then don't move your arm like that."

    It really is that simple.

Go piss in someone else's Cheerios.

    Cheerio!

  • @HooLooVu Right on, my friend! The EOGB is mightily talented; and they need not to be 'dissed', Nor should they be compared to others. They are who they are. And, WHAT they are is FANTASTIC!

  • @kenrussellspulse You're just a moron with no appreciation for talent. If you think you can do better, get a Uke and show us your magic.
