Just get this, and see if you can find ECP (enhanced configuration project) and download it better graphics all done. I`d love to put some of the COD generation on this they would last about 3 seconds. still a cracking game and winter everon sniper duel at night just add some NVG and flares... oh the best.the occupied island maps we used to make took 6 hours to kill everything mining roads and blowing bridges. this is probably he best hardcore game EVER. make cut scenes easy too, machinma easy

Hell yeah! If not for OFP Most modern military games would not be what they are :P Did you know OFP was one of the first military games/shooters to have it where you can look down the iron sites?

OFP is at 1 point better than Arma.

and thats pure voice commands!

Arma Voice commands are soooooo annoying.

it takes away allot of realism in the game.

both arma 1 and 2. AND GOD ARMA 2 LOOKS SWEEEET!

anyway GOTY can now be downloaded and played online freely.

its a good way to get this game back again!

I always loved fighting the Soviets. Fighting SLA terrorist/guerillas/whatever they are is just kind of boring. And also the fact that a T72 in ArmA could easily beat an M1A1. That was heartbreaking.

@ljuha penetration of modern(!!!) shells are at level of M1A2 Abrams, so Russian(remember) T-72 or T-80 or T-90 1 shot equal to M1 shot. 1 hit and any tank will burn. Or M1A2 or T-90.

It ain't just nostalgia. OFP just feels, and is better in almost every aspect. BIS fucked up with ArmA, and probably will fuck up again with ArmA 2. They have lost the touch, only hope is Codemasters OFP2.

"Cold War Rearmed" will be out, soon. That's basically OFP:Resistance in the ArmA engine, hopefully as a free download.

I think it's the Field-of-View. 300 meters distant targets actually appear 300 meters distant in OFP. In ArmA they look like they're 700 meters away.

You also have to have a beast of a system to run ArmA.

OFP:Elite was GREAT FUN on the X-Box!
