Its billiards and pool is way harder than billiards, its more about cue control in billiards, im not saying i could do what he's doing but i recon in a year i could confidently beat him off the break without him having a shot in.
of course you may win a game if you win the lag.. but if you could beat him in real match with dollars behind the table... If you could beat the greatest player in the planet, you must have the crown with you... I tell you kid.. you dream to much.. If you're not a kid you must join the tournaments to prove your self.. it's not by words that people get names..
You may run out once or twice but that doesn't mean you're gonna beat a champion like Efren. There's a lifetime of knowledge and expertise in Efren's game, and there's no way you'll be able to beat that within a year of practice.
Don McCoy is the only pool player in the history of the game to actually have a more solid game then Efren. Don McCoy didn't play in as many tournements but when he was in his prime the average distane between his cue ball and his object ball was shorter then anybody that has ever picked up a cue. Don is the 1980 world 9 ball champ and owns a resteruant in DesMoines, IA. Even Efren said at one time that Don McCoy had the best stroke in the world and was the best American player-I agree
We are now watching the final few years of Efren on top. He is not getting any younger, eventually age will catch up on him. But his knowledge of the game will always be with him. When he retires, that would be the saddest day of pool for me :-(... But his legacy lives on for years to come. 2 generations from now they will still be talking about this great cue master...Thank you Efren for entertaining us and showing your skills. We learned a lot from you! YOU WILL ALWAYS BE THE KING OF POOL!

People who have seen Efren play only once think that last shot was lucky. Those who have followed him for years (I've been since the early 90s) have seen him pull off shot like that over and over, and statistically it would be impossible for one man, by pure chance, to get 'lucky' that many times. Earl strick is world best, if you see the records of tournoments, I mean come on. 5 times US Open winner, 6 times Nina ball World champion. 5 times he got called "The player of the year" and alot other tournys too, Efren did what? 1 time US open? 1 time World champ? Earl Stickland is a cheater and he's a lil bitch.
He complains all the time and He cheated that one match with some chinese opponent, in which Earl accidently touched the object balls with his hand, and he acted like nothing happened. Everyone saw it, except, the Referee. Stickland is good, but he is not a true Pool god like Efren.

It's not cheat. he just touched a ball. and nobody saw it. same happened to Efren reyes in the Color of money game, you can see it in tape #6, and he didn't admit it. it happen to all players to be honest, but when we talk in terms if game-play. Earl is better in miles dude.

Earl is just a Pearl~ Worthless in money standards. Efren is a Magician! The Phillipino "Stoke" is unorthodoxed, but it's very effective at cue control.
Earl hits like Chuck Norris, and Efren shoots like Bruce Lee. And Bruce owns Mr. Walker Texas ranger. (whom was Bruce Lee's student) And like Norris, Earl is a Grassphoper~

You don't understand the concept of Greatness. Efren was poor, had nothing, he slept on pool tables as a kid. He used a fake passport to come to the US to play. Earl is white, his journey to greatness is not the same. His style and skills are not the same, Earl is a Brat. Efren is a good person and pool player.

Semih Sayginer is Three Cushion Billiard player. Efren Reyes is all around player. Efren plays Three Cushion Billiard, Snooker and Pool (like 9ball, 8ball, Rotation, Straight Pool, One Pocket etc.)
I never heard Semih Sayginer playing Pool or Snooker and that's make him infamous to most people.. I think Torbjorn Blomdahl is better

Som ppl think that som of his great shots are jst flukes or whatso ever..it is bcoz they just cant reach the level of thinking that he has for the game. c'mon guys, listen to show commentators when he plays.. they are really havin a hard time to predict his next move or position. even steve davis once said in the 2006 WPC "ok i give up! i dont know what he's doing!"
