  • are all the movie with revamp scene's like this

  • Amuro: CHAR!! Char: THE GUNDAM! Amuro: What? Char: Sorry force of habit.

  • It's well done. But I much prefer the original. It had a lot more magic to it.

Also, no Gackt cashing in on something he never watched as a kid.

  • Alright then! I will definitely check this out!

  • I've read that a lot of the footage in the movies is recycled material from the show that's been remastered, and the new scenes like we see here are just sort of added touches. Is that true, or are there more scenes that are this detailed?

  • @spinalTapSoundGuy It's true that a lot of footage is recycled and polished. But there is enough new material to keep it interesting and the new animations look pretty good

  • @SmartyPantsDash To be honest I wish they had just redone the entire film trilogy's animation...the new footage was just so well-done.

  • wew hair on my back rising :) what movie is that? thanks

  • @earnshare2 It''s a clip from the first Zeta Gundam movie: Heirs to the stars

  • CHAR! ... Y u no ride red mobile suit?

  • cool scene, but i got 1 question. how can they fall so slowly! haha

  • Simply one of the most EPIC moments in the whole Gundam Universe!

  • @cyrel257 No, the movies cannot be watched in place of the series, please don't watch the movies instead they aren't very good

  • this is an awesome scene, the best part is when amuro calls out char right at the end

  • chars hatred of amuro was more of a jealousy, he gave amuro 2 chances to join him. one in the original gundam and one in CCA.

  • @cyrel257 Well it's the first of 3 movies. If you think the pacing of the series is too slow then it's better that you watch the movies because of the improved animations and such.

They do skip some stuff in the movies but nothing big

  • @SmartyPantsDash except that they change the ending so in the movies universe the events of ZZ Gundam can not take place, so, it would be better if he skipped the third movie and watched the final episodes

  • @CompanionCubeJr Yes I forgot about that

  • @cyrel257 This is the first Zeta Gundam Movie: Heirs to the Stars.

The movies summarize the entire Zeta Gundam series

  • wow i have to watch this. I only watched the original Zeta gundam.

  • What can be more manly than taking on a Mobile Armour with a aircraft carrier... besides being in a giant fighting robot entity with drills the size of the universe fighting another giant fighting robot entity with drills the size of the universe ^^

  • its CHAAAR! its AMUROOOO!

  • what a super animation!! clothes on wind and so ! epic!

  • what did you rip this from?

  • This scene gave me shivers.

  • The best part about the Gundam series is when you don't watch the shows in the right order and your confused as fuck in Zeta Gundam because you don't have a clue what happened in the first show other than what you read on Wikipedia, which really doesn't help you get an idea of what happened.

  • @GOODPLAYA20 I have the same problem when I pick up a new book and start from the middle.

  • アムロの安否を心配するシャア

    共闘したかったのだろうな。

  • この再開の仕方

    なかなかやるね。

  • You wa Char!

  • CHAR!

  • Is this worth buying on DVD? I hear mixed reviews about the Zeta movies all time. Can anyone help me please?

  • @ExNausea yes,im already buy it and you should have one :)

  • @ExNausea Absolutley!

Now I'll admit, missing key events like Char's Dakar speech and the raid on Mt. Kilimanjaro really sucks but if you have the show already you can always watch both. It all comes down to personal taste. To me, pacing and drama is everything. The show (as much as I love it) does tend to drag. The films remedy this but at the cost of character integrity and certain important moments. Quality vs. Quantity. Bottom line, if you watch both... you cant go wrong.

  • is this some new zeta series? theres so much detail and quality.

  • @deathc0rR3

I bet Amuro eats his carrots !

He also has much finer taste in women, than to pine for that Nina character.

  • @karry299 Amuro isn't a shiitty pilot either, he practically fought four mobile armors single handily without the help of dendrobium. At least, none of his love interests shot him because they were involved with another man before.

  • @karry299 No offense, and I think Char is the classic hero type. But...you know is also physically based off of the Aryan archetype the Nazis were looking for. Why is that sometimes so common in Anime?

  • @Zankjuyse You are in the right direction. Char was one of the main enemies in the first Gundam series. He looks Aryan because the Zeon empire he was fighting for was a lot like the nazi empire in WW2. They even said "Sieg Zeon" as their warcry much like the "Sieg Heil" of the nazi's. Also their mission(to wipe out all non-New Types) and their uniforms resembled Nazi ideaology. He joined the good guys later.

However, this is not common in anime. Protaganists don't generly resemble Aryan types.

  • @SmartyPantsDash Char is the most tragic of characters in probably all anime I've seen based in what can best be considered a plausible future. He KNEW his dad was killed by Degwin. His slow, but planed execution of the lot of them was venom of the saying that revenge is best served cold. ALL of the family knew, save Minerva, at the end he was the one responsible for their ends. Amuro was IMHO a passive dupe only to serve a role similar to Rico in ST. Char is the real MC.

  • @SmartyPantsDash Good guys? There were no good guys. It was a clash of ideologies. Char was the Aryan avenger getting in close to the Zabi's to wipe them out and lead side 3 to a golden era. Sayla was fighting against them as well. Your logic is very flawed. Char continued trying to achieve real independence for side 3 for the rest of his life and it drove him crazy.

  • @deathc0rR3 I like Uraki but he's nowhere Amuro's level. Amuro the champion and Kou like rookie of the year.

  • this was a great series, partly ruined by chars counterattack imao :/ because here, it seems like amuro and char finally buried the hatchet of hate, and to see them both fight again in char's counterattack b/c of char's hate for amuro killing lalah, sort of cheapens char's character.

  • wow when char and amuro meet in here..just like ex boyfriend meet her ex boyfriend...do you see that light on the sun

  • @raiser188 Well they both did fight over one girl and ended up causing her to be torn tramatized, then dead. Lol no wonder Char went to the loli side and Amuro went emo.

  • Comment removed

  • you cant have a char and amuro meeting without the epic CHAR SCREAM FROM AMURO "CHAR!"

  • I love when he yells "Char!" It seems so emotional somehow, like he just absolutely can't believe Char is there...I love this

  • >_> ......<_<........CHAR!!!!!!!!

  • what's the song at the ending?

  • Uh why does Amuro look so eat-up in this version? Were the animators not checking the character design sheets? Did they just forget how to draw him? They didn't have that problem with Camille or Char.

  • Amuro.....Hero =|

  • These graphics are far better than the original Zeta series. Shame, it looks epic, they should redo the original series like this.

  • @ZTFreedom that would be freakin awesome i love zeta

  • @Xinathor Zeta was great, I just didn't like how it suddenly ends. Way to many lose ends...

  • @ZTFreedom you gotta watch Double Zeta and it picks up right where Zeta leaves off

  • @Xinathor I can't find it in english. Heard it cover the first Neo-Zeon War

  • @ZTFreedom it was never released in english but the original UC stories are so much better in subtitles

  • @Xinathor I don't like sub-titles

  • @ZTFreedom i ain't to hot on them either but its worth it in the end

  • @ZTFreedom Thats only because ZZ comes directly after..

  • does anybody know what that specific track is when amuro char meet eachother??

  • Ending is so epic.

  • no one noticed the fail subs at 1:51 cuz I loled

  • @Ryole025914 You call THAT a fail?

    There's a game where he's called Quattro Vagina =P

Also there are no rules to romanize katakana(= the alfabet used for foreign words, including names), that's why different subs use a different way to write a certain name.

  • @kakarot197 jajajaja its Bajeena XDD

  • In order to get UC, u rlly just need to kno zz and CCA, so u wud kno that y nahel Argama is so special and the past of Marida Cruz.

  • @aznprank Zeta's more pivotal than ZZ in my opinion. And plus the original series started it ALL. It's too iconic to skip. And CCA kinda put an end to the most important part in the UC fiction.

  • @ryumancer yea but in order to understand uc u dont rlly need to kno zeta, uc is extremely related to zz bcuz it involved with so many things from zz. the first gundam, u just hav to kno amuro ray piloted the gundam and the feddies won the one year war

  • Great scene.

  • Bromance moment

  • You know you're awesome when you smash through a plane's windscreen and suffer from no injury.

  • @soldier4670 That's a Newtype for you! Not too many other Gundam pilots have pulled off anything that epic!

  • Please, I have to know the name of this anime film!! I love UC so much that I just have to watch them all!!

  • Most Magical Moment in Zeta Gundam.

  • are they gay 4 each other

  • @Itachi4forever Uh no, it's simultaneous mutual respect and loathing for each other, they fought each other time and again and both survived into another war to meet again!

  • @broadsidexl74 Oh....hey quick question have u heard unicron...

well my question is do i have to watch this whole series of amaro ray n kamile

    to get unicron story line?

  • @Itachi4forever Not from what I've seen so far, I'm about to watch ep 2 tonight. so I can't say for certain, but Zeta focused more on Kamille's tale. From what I can gather, Knowing 0079's story should be enough, Seeing Char's Counteratack wouldn't hurt either since it takes place right before Unicorn. I do recomend Seeing Zeta though, i've seen almost every animated Gundam work, and it's one of the best imho!

  • @broadsidexl74 He should watch ZZ too.

  • @soldier4670 Absolutely! But I think you can follow Unicorn as long as you know the basics,

  • @broadsidexl74 ooo...okay then cause i really want to watch that show.

u know i'm going to see the OG series too....

even thought the drawing look crappy but still have to see cause i'm curious.

  • @Itachi4forever I'll concede the animation is jarring if you're not used to classic anime, but the story is great, a bit ahead of it's time. That's why i think it didn't catch on in Japan at first. Also, as soldier4670 pointed out ZZ should be checked out too,as there are some references to that in Unicorn as well. However 0079 and CCA i think are the most important works relating to understanding the Universal Century.

  • @broadsidexl74 True, but the events of Zeta and ZZ are pivotal in what Char does in CCA. Maybe you don't need to fully watch them, but at least you need to know what happened there...

  • @brinpol Agreed, In the larger scheme of things, yes many important things happen in Z & ZZ. When I was posting to itachi4ever I was just sugesting points of reference so he could get into Unicorn as quickly as possible. Having said that, knowing all the previous UC works can only enhance your viewing experience of Unicorn, what would have been just entertaining is brought into a realm of epicness!

  • My man Buran Blutarch....

  • the Z gundam movies were so jam packed full of stuff there was no time to figure out what the hell was happening.

  • CHAR!!

  • Comment removed

  • epic

  • Ok first of all why is it in japanese

  • @CartoonBlast229z gundam is originally japanese bud :P

  • @BladeZypher Its also english

  • @CartoonBlast229z true but only a small portion of it is english. So it's not uncommon to see the movies and even series in the original japanese dubs.

  • wow...

i like the series better but this moment...

    wow

  • THAT WASSSSSS>>.... SO GREAT

  • Only Amuro has done something like this in UC(though Master Asia defeated suits with bare hands, and Heero Yui with bombs.)

  • @christlubas and heero yuy who blew up his own mobile suit and nearly killed him

  • @christlubas lol Amuro: I used a plane

    Heero: I used bombs.

Master Asia: I USED MY HANDS!!!

  • the music that started at 1:43 really touched me it also made the scene EPIC!!!

  • So if you have main questions of The Original Suit Gundam and Gundam Zeta I'm happy to help you, you can comment or email oh and I want to reply this to mattmanganon but I'm using my iPhone right now lol :P

  • At U.C.0087 he left Kilimanjaro abourd the Audhumla on route to Dakar for the Federation Assembly. With Amuro, he seized control of the Assembly and revealed he's true self. He done this cause Amuro and Kamille have no choice, so they can denounced the Titans. Prt3

  • (sinse they don't know Char's face cause of his damn helmet and mask this is his chance to be someone else. People say he was searching for the path to take and some say (which mostly people choose) he done that so he can face to face with Haman then later destroy the world MUHAHAHA want more proof fine prt2

  • omg I can see some people are noobs here ok Quattro is Char... Baka here I'll explain after the One Year War he went missing right , so then later he took refuge at Axis with the remnant Zeon Forces. Out of desire to evolve the human race, he left Axis and traveled to earth. After that, he disguise as Quattro and joined A.E.U.G prt1

  • you fool, this is the scene where Amuro meets Quattro, who we all know is not Char and bares no resemblance to the Red Comet

  • @mattmanganon brillance

  • @mattmanganon of course. i mean look, he has no silver helmet!

  • do you know whats amazing about gundam series is...

in the years of 1979 up to 1980

the story the mechs everything can still compete of the animes today...

theres no anime show in that particular year

that combines drama ,mechs, death, politics into a series...

  • Wow, the movie looks a lot better than the old anime lol.

  • YES

  • Z Gundam is effin epic...

  • This looks bloody amazing the Animation more crisp that I thought it was Z Gundam eh??

  • I lmao when i first saw this in the show. Amuro fucking ray man... he's a monster. He pwns zeons ace, the red comet, in a total piece (gundam), he takes out mobile suits with airplanes, and in chars counter attack, he jumps off a moving truck, and amuro punches (an amuro punch is 1 better than falcon punch) char off a fucking horse at like 50 miles an hour. Amuro is a god among men.

  • @EcksPwnsAll Of course, he's a Newtype.

  • SO freaking EPIC!

  • OMG the animation is amazing, good thing i pre-ordered my copy of the dvd trilogy from bandai, just hope they dont delay the release date again.

  • These movies get too much undeserved criticism

  • years have pass now white devil meets red comet

  • Not bad, definitly worth buying!

  • Episode 14!!!

  • Whoo, that's a pretty damn good scene o.o I need to start watching all the gundams xP God, that'll take a while.

Anyone knows what's the song at the end?

  • @yoitsdomka

K, nevermind, found it xD (Lol, it was obviously the ending song by Gackt >.>)

  • Quatro Baggina = Quatro Vagina (FOR SHORT)

  • Zeta Gundam Trilogy, US Release Date is June 2010 through Bandai Entertainment. Accorging to information it will only be english subbed, no english voice acting. You will be able to buy either all three movies together or individually.

They're are probably releasing it now because of the Anime Legends: Mobile Suit Gundam Trilogy coming out in May.

  • they should remake the original gundam

  • @RIEKSONE Before we get screwed over by Bandai (with more over-priced DVDs with terribly translated english dubs), perhaps we should just settle for the original Gundam's entirely-too-long-waited-for box set? Someone needs to get their hands on the license and then start producing that bad boy. I'm sick of reading subtitles on streaming anime websites.

  • @PigunTheCarnifex hey hey I believe amuro and char's voice actors were good in english it's just everyone elses voices sound like shit

  • Wow when was this made? It looks so much better than the TV series...

  • .....This totally makes them seem like they got the hots for each other....

    Hooot!!

  • well this is really aqward

  • Seriously, didn't Char and Amuro die during his counter attack

  • @sipioc Char's counter attack takes place after Zeta Gundam

  • @SmartyPantsDash after ZZ Gundam actually.

  • @SmartyPantsDash correction after Double Zeta Gundam

  • @SmartyPantsDash Way after. Almost...what a decade? And thanks to the tweeks to the timeline from the Zeta movies, it might never have happen. Although I think Unicorn cleans that up a little.

  • @SmartyPantsDash it takes place after zz acually

  • @CartoonBlast229z according to a new translation, ZZ never will happen. and according to Char's Counter Attack, it seemingly didn't happen.

  • @SmartyPantsDash actually after zz gundam

  • @SmartyPantsDash Also there's no solid prove of their deaths. They simply disappeared along with the gaint meteor. So who knows? why might return at some point.

  • @sipioc They both were listed as KIA, but deep down, I don't think they died so easily.

  • @GamingGenius - EASILY?! What more would it take? But I see your point. Leave it ambiguous to make the world interesting and open

  • @sipioc NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

    JDKA;GJIKRA;J;LSHGA;HG AI;L FDGIA; G

    DAM SPOILERS!

  • @sipioc Amruo died...Char is still alive.

  • @MASTERtoken Full Frontal, he is not a Char

  • @sipioc it never really says some say they are m.i.a and others say k.i.a

  • @sipioc

Well, there's no official confirmation of whether or not they're MIA or KIA, but at least in the novel, they were confirmed KIA. Not to mention, neither are seen in Gundam Unicorn, which takes place 3 years after Char's Counterattack. Unless you want to believe that they somehow made it without being traced by anyone and shacked up together all this time.

To be fair, Char and Amuro are epic characters in The Universal Century storyline, so who knows? We'll have to wait and see...

  • @cowboynemo bro i dont get it why did they fight on the same team in z gundam?

  • @Nate37982 originally, char was on the zeon side after the 1 year war. Zeon has retreated to Axis while Char returns to the Earth Sphere for some reason i cant remember, probly some issues with haman. he joined AEUG as Lieutenant quattro to fight against the federation. and later, amuro shows up and joined the aeug ally, the kalaba (or something thats how i heard it). he turned against the federation cuz he was being watched by the federation after 0079(the 1st gundam). And there u go.

  • @sipioc some say they are missing

  • @sipioc and no they just disappeared after the fight

  • You know you're awesome when you beat up a MS with a FREIGHT PLANE and live.

  • @Vnewbie That's just how Amuro rolls. Dude's PIMPIN'.

  • @Vnewbie It's awesome but not as awesome as whne you beat a MS with a piece of cloth and your bare hands.

  • @Vnewbie At least, when someone can rescue you.

  • @Vnewbie Amuro never dies

  • @rclsm1021 except being vaporized by his own psychoframe...lol

  • Where the hell did this footage come from? This doesn't look ANYTHING like the Zeta series. Are the Zeta movies actual re-dos?

This looks like more recent 00/Unicorn style animation

  • @phildd0t Yes. The Zeta movies were made in 2002, with much of it being remastered or original movie footage.

  • not homosexual at all, guys.

  • @k007007 not really they're just analyzing each other. neither of them has laid eyes on one another in almost 10 years.

  • This is around episode 14-16 If I recall. Movie quality is so much better than the original... too bad the story gets raped.

  • At least Amuro didn't come in with beam rifles blazing disabling the Titans.

  • Seriously, I love the original (early generation) of Gundam, way more.

Nice story plot, nice drawing style of characters.

  • this is zeta gundam? It has a lot better animation!

  • IIRC Amuro was born in BC, Canada.

  • @GetterRay yup I always thought it was funny how the US doesn't exist in the gundam universe. Getting us back in a way.

  • Luigi84289 US did exist in the UC century. In Ghiren's greed they say Ramba Ral Conquered the US and Char once stayed in a occupied Los Angles at one time.

  • @MandoFett1138 I remember explicitly reading when Hayato is talking to Amuro and char at the beginning of Zeta in a Gwadan the words "the old United States" when talking about the Neo Kennedy space port. If that means the US ceased to exist between the two serie I don't know. Los Angeles and all the cities would remain regardless of the central government.
