Has fun chasing it for 10 mins, then loses interest and lies down on our couch for a nap.

Encouraging you to hunt (as if to say "There, that's how it's done - now you try")

Dropping hints (as if to say "You haven't fed me since yesterday")

@Dristarg They do it to encourage you to hunt. It's like they're teaching their young kittens how to get food. Cats don't consider you their owners, they think it's the other way around lol.

I remember when my old cat had brought a feild mouse up to the ledge on the second floor window of my room. He was still kicking so I didn't let her in but she finished him of on the roof.

definately. When a cat brings a mouse into the house or to your doorstep, it's bringing it to you a a prize. You should give your cat a big hug and thank him/her!!

Lmao. I had a cat that use to bring mice in from the fields. I bet he would bring in like 3 or 4 a week.use to piss me off so much cause u never quite knew where he would hide them until u smell a funky smell ether that or seen him playing with them
