Funny how the book came out last year when Repo! The genetic Opera was first released around the same time Saw 5 was released last year. Another thing that was funny to me was the fact that the people from Reposession Mambo were offering more money to the crew of Repo! The genetic Opera to come work for them. Oh, and the evidence that the Reposession Mambo people were also attending performances of Repo! Opera when it was still a stage play in 2001, hey BlueNight134, who are you working for?

Seriously? I'm just a fan of Eric Garcia, and have been since Anonymous Rex. I haven't seen Repo!, but I'm sure I'd get a kick out of it.
From the synopsis I read of Repo!, aside from organ reposession, they're completely different storylines. It's like comparing Edgar Rice Burroughs' John Carter of Mars with Philip K. Dick's Total Recall. Both involve the Martian atmosphere generators, but the similarities end there.

Stupid Repo! The Genetic Opera rip off. They didn't even keep the title thet different. Repo! The Genetic Opera and Repo Men! Good grief, there aren't too many films that use the ! in the titles themselves. Good grief, hope this movie sucks.

Reposession Mambo has been in development by Eric Garcia since 1997, first as a short story, then as a novel published last year. Independently, Repo! started being developed as a stage play in 1998. Do your research.

...Get a clue. Repossession Mambo started in 1997 as a short story. The author was the major screenwriter for this film, while also retelling it in novel length. Go read the book.
