  • This is one of my favorite DK songs

  • Always love how this transitioned from jazzy to hard!

  • Whats their drummers name again?

  • @ajb77 D. H. Peligro

  • In Creative Writing we have to share a poem and this is the one I'm using. :D

  • saw east bay ray yesterday night at the santa monica civic! niccceee

  • @silionness prove it.

  • @MuscIenuts The Dickies GV30 Paranoid... he's wearing red :)

  • Grandes los Kennedys conchesumadre!!!!

  • In light of recent events this song is so relevant its terrifying.

  • just change some of the dates/presidents and the lyrics are still quite relevant to present day 2011..... Genius

  • DK puts me in a very special space

  • 160,001 viewer!

  • is he mixing the lyrics of uber alles with bigger problem?

  • @cyberyanmar it was a rewrite of "Uber alles" from "in god we trust inc" featuring Reagan as opposed to Jerry Brown in the original. Different Nazi, same story :)

  • peligro is one of the best punk drummers in the whole world

  • WOW ' it was that good' yes it was

  • PELIGRO the best drummer in the world

  • this song works perfectly for Ronald Reagan

  • sigh...jello .....he was perfect

  • i grew up in the wrong era and missed out

  • @muckinsauce Fuck, didn't we all.

  • @muckinsauce me to :\

  • think jelloe could get a shirt with a few more holes?

  • No Jello no Dead Kennedy's

  • @evilcraig359

    The voice of reason...

  • Most Awesome: 1. 2. 3. 4. The Bad Brains 5. D.H. Peligro

  • I think Snoop Dog-eat-dog is a better black person than the drummer. Snoop Über alles! Heil.

  • @seppard what the fuck are you talking about you fascist piece of crap

  • chicca da intenditori!!! where do you found that video????

  • @ 4:36 Isn't It Suppose To Be El Salvador And Afghanistan?

    Am I Right Or Wrong?

  • @TheGutterRatz

This isn't the version that appeared on the EP, they probably just changed it.

  • whos alexander heig

  • @sixxgrl66

Alexander Haig was Ronald Reagan's despicable Secretary of State from whom we procure the term Haigspeak, meaning: pompous, long-winded redundancy.

His infamy is well-deserved. He speculated the possible use of a "nuclear warning shot" in Europe so as to frighten the Soviet Union, and he basically okayed the Israeli invasion of Lebanon.

However, Haig did not last long. He resigned after only a year or so since even Reagan's staff did not appreciate his belligerance.

  • if you're stuck on "black" and "gay" you might need more help understanding what DK is all about..

  • Watching this now, decades later, and it seems pretty clear that most or all of them are homosexual. I don't know why that never occurred to me back then, but I guess I didn't really know a lot of gay people back then, though I always supported their freedom.

If anything, that makes it seem even more edgy now, more hardcore, more daring, more powerful. There can never be another Dead Kennedys, but I think world needs more homo-hardcore bands these days.

  • @NobodobodoN ...."It seems pretty clear that most or all of them are homosexual". You are a total moron. How the hell would YOU know if they are??? Personal experience? Did you fuck one or all of them?? Did one or all of them fuck YOU??? That's the only way you could TRULY know. Your idiot comment needs to be removed because you have no idea what you're talking about. And....DK were edgy/hardcore/daring/powerful THEN AND NOW.....

  • @NobodobodoN ......and I'm just glad Alternative Tentacles Records had the wisdom to sign them up. NOTHING has ever even remotely come close to the manic intensity and power of "In God We Trust, Inc." It is my all-time favorite DK recording.

  • Comment removed

  • @phantasm1004 Umm... Jello and Ray sorta founded Alternative Tentacles

  • This song was on one of the Tony Hawks. Ha.

  • I don't understand how people can not like this.. T^T

  • "Clooooose your minds" LOL

  • 1. John Wayne 2. Elvis Presley 3. D. H. Peligro 4. Ronald Reagan

  • can't stop watching it!

  • two of my favorite bands are connected in a way. Red Hot Chili Peppers and Dead Kennedys had Peligro as a drummer.

  • that is class

  • 2:33 EPIC.

  • Where's great music like this today?

  • At least it's not like deadkennedys555's videos. He puts all kinds of illuminati bullshit in the description claiming they are "fighters of the owl and freemasonry" and bullshit like that.

  • The best drummer ever.

  • way ahead of there time......fuking awsome.!!!!

  • Jello Biafra.Prophet.

  • @admillnx6 Exactly! So much relevance to today its scary...

  • From the DVD featuring the Kennedys actually recording the In God We Trust E.P. in 1981. A punk rock must have released in 2003!!

  • Happy Trails to Ronald Reagan and all jelly-bean eating ways...

  • YEAH! DALLAS COWBOYS! Lol

  • east bay ray legend

  • Jello's voice is fucking brilliant.

  • Happy trails

  • its sad to see them all in toon with one another.. knowing that jello was sewed by them after all theyve been threw..

  • @THExViCExSHOW just gotta enjoy it for what it was at the time; but would be good to see Jello make amends since he screwed them around. New Years Resolution for Jello: get unfat; tell the band you're sorry; make a new record with them; work for half-pay for one year and half royalties on the record. TIME IS SLIPPING AWAY MY FRIEND

  • @THExViCExSHOW ....."in toon"??....you mean IN TUNE. "sewed"??.....you mean SUED. "threw"??...you mean THROUGH. Good grief!....obviously the product of a public school from a socio-economically depressed area.

  • for all dk fans this is heaven

  • Punk will never DIE!!

    Punk Videos HERE!!

    -STD's

  • One of their best songs, a jazz song with hardcore choruses smack dab in the middle of a blisteringly intense hardcore ep. Awesome.

  • Is this from or shot for a documentary film? Is the whole in studio available. I normally don't care for punk, hardcore and its close neighbors but this is real music by real musicians. They seem to having fun also.

  • @therugburnz from what i have read there are a couple videos like this that are all in the studio but i dont think theres any documentary this formed. i could be wrong but i think these are just awesome videos of alternate takes or something.

  • fucking awesome!

  • Jello for president.

  • damn that drummer is sick

  • I never thought a closet could be so freakin' awsome!!

  • I hate all the different classifactions of punk. ITS EITHER PUNK OR NOT!!! no acid punk no surf punk no fuking jazz punk or pop punk. JUST PUNK ROCK

  • @narcolpeticpsycho you are so RIGHT!!!!! it's the same with house music, disco house, tek, hard, jazz, etc....! punk rock is punk rock! i think bands like maybe 182 need classo? peace funny how jerry brown's back lol

  • come quietly to the camps...WTF? fema?

  • Very nice. Usually eclipsed by the Jerry Brown version. Good to hear Afganistan reference. Nicer still to see all the band members at work.

    And God bless Winston Smith.

  • Comment removed

  • in god we trust inc was so fast and heavy...my favorite record from them...gets you real worked up...!!!!

  • close your mind! LMAO!

  • this is an AMAZING video!! Check out the 1980 shirts lol. they look like college guys :)

  • DH is like in a little closet lol. awesome drummer!

  • Awesome

  • I think this is proof what great musicians these guys really are. My all time favorite DK's song.

  • 6 brainwashed screw over Good Christians that didn't like this video

  • You just got to love that Denmark sticker on the bass.

  • One of the best punk songs ever..

Fun watching how bands recorded stuff bak then too

  • I love there drummer hes one of the most awesome black people ever, up there with martin luther king jr and jimi hendrix

  • @MetalDrummer776 Don't forget Mandela!

  • @MetalDrummer776 1. Martin Luther King Jr. 2. Nelson Mandela 3. D.H. Peligro 4. Malcolm X

  • @starkweather444 Whoa, whoa, why is Peligro at number 3?

  • @starkweather444 how do u put Martin Luther King before Nelson Mandela?!

  • @starkweather444 is that your opinion on best black people? or is jimi just not black?

  • @starkweather444 Were's Ernesto Hoost in your list???

  • @ijsschots It was a stupid comment, I can't be awesome all the time.

  • @starkweather444

    LoL!!

  • @starkweather444

    1) Peligro 2) HR 3) Nile Rodgers 3) John Africa. Fuck MLK, famously a plagarist and white whore fucker, fuck Malcolm Little, a hater of women.

  • @MetalDrummer776 He's an awesome drummer, but what does race have to do with anything?

  • @MetalDrummer776

    That's patronizing as fuck.

  • @MetalDrummer776 fuck mlk

that has nothing to do with it he's just a drummer like anyone else

if he was white it'd be the same

  • @MetalDrummer776 Peligro!!!

  • @MetalDrummer776 And Jesus.

  • @MetalDrummer776 Don't forget H.R.

  • @MetalDrummer776

You say it like black people are some kind of rarity. Believe it or not there tons of cool "black folk" out there you haven't met yet, and just because Peligro's in a band you like doesn't make him some obscure exception to whatever muddled stereotype you think most "black people" conform to.

Fuck you. Who gives a shit what color his skin is anyway?

  • @LubricatedSquirm Lube, your comment is practically the most brilliant and incisive comment I've heard on any YouTube video. MAN, we need more people like you! :)

  • @bckm54

Right on friend, I appreciate the kind words, and as vainglorious as it might be to pat ourselves on the back, it's a shame how generally lowbrow the commentary on most YouTube videos is!

  • @MetalDrummer776 WHAT MAKES HIM COOL BECAUSE OF THE COLOR OF HIS SKIN THATS THE PROBLEM IS YOU PEOPLE SEE RACE WHEN YOU SEE THE COLOR OF SOMEONES SKIN. IDIOTS!

  • @MetalDrummer776

    ...Miles and 'Trane, too.

  • @MetalDrummer776 ya, um, well then their singer is one of the most awesome white people ever, up there with martin luther and jimi page,

  • @MetalDrummer776 and Mohammud Ali? :)

  • @MetalDrummer776 and me?

  • @MetalDrummer776 oh, and me! lmao sorry, i had to.

  • Flouride is such a cornball. I love it.

  • Damn! Still gettin me all excited and stuff shuks!

  • Ez qrva nagy!

  • I wanna die like a kennedy just give me a tricky dicky screwdriver

  • Anyone else want to try a Tricky Dickey screwdriver??

  • this is soooo sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @VelvetRevolverMother -gotta love old school fucking hardcore dude, Jello is such a badass.

  • @4:39 "In the desert of Afghanistan"

Scary that this song was written in the 80s, but that line is actually true to this day in 2010...

  • @LibertyMike1 Russia also invaded Afghan in 1979...

  • @Chayne13 Yes they did, and they did not succeed. Neither has anyone who has ever attempted to invade that region. We need to get our troops out of Afghanistan now!

  • @LibertyMike1 except about Reagan

  • Did I miss the comments on how fucking awesome this upload is or is it just me? Thank you alcporvida321 you bastard! Where did you get this from?

  • i want this footage is there a dvd anywhere?

  • this rules

  • George Orwell would approve.

  • still gives me chills

  • This song shows that there actually are hardcore bands that know more than three chord noise.

  • love that bass!!! love the jazzy style!!!

  • wow they play like a real band in this. amazing

  • they're fucken awsome!

  • I love klaus'es glasses

  • jello Bafra, was awesome to see some orginal studio material

    _o_

  • Troop withdrawals for the Iraq War should be starting this August. At long last, the Iraq War will be coming to an end! So we've got two more months to go! Hopefully, the war in Afghanistan will follow soon.

  • awesome

  • COOL vid! Thx Jello!

  • D.H. Peligro is a fucking BEAST!

  • and yet this was in 1985? any resemblance?

  • IN CRE IBLE

    aguanten los kennedys

  • am i the only one that thinks that system of a down is the modern evolution of this band? i mean the satire, the political and social commentary, the sometimes just stupid fun songs. Even serjes voice is basically jellos voice mixed with operatic shit.

  • this is abiut obama that fuck

  • @MrUbastard hey nazi punk, fuck off.

    reagan

  • @MrUbastard hey, nazi punk, fuck off.

    it's about reagan

  • anybody know when these sessions were recorded, like year?

  • @hoodybeatz think about 83,84,85?

  • What Jello speaks of then... is what has been, and is happening... right now. Look around... we are all stuck in this monetary system, which is controlled by greed, power and control! The minority rules... because we, the majority, is made up of individuals that just don't want to know. Greed is poison and pollutes our Earth... the only Earth we know of in this Universe... and we keep abusing our home planet, for ego instead of eco!

  • I think this song is still just as relevant today, even though Regan has been dead for awhile now. I'm scared to death I'm going to have to pray in school. Seems more likely than not. They pray in Congress.

  • Oops! "Were recording..."

  • These are great. Someone got in there while they recording 'In God We Trust, Inc.. You always wonder what it's like when one of your favorite bands are in the studio. No royality issues yet, it looks like.

  • Watch the Dallas Cowboys(gag) on your TV.

  • Another cool song I play in bar digital juke boxes to mess with people's heads.(ha,ha)

  • Love how it starts all Jazzy with Jello's humor then it gets fucking hardcore.

  • JAZZ PUNK!

  • "Vietnam won't come back you say..."

Pretty prophetic seeing as the ghosts of Vietnam keep coming back and the US makes the same stupid mistakes.

  • Man, these old studio clips make the band's break up even more depressing. It would be one thing if the rest of the band came off like the music didn't mean shit to them, but the truth is they were the best backing Jello ever had.

I guess money fucks us all in the end.

  • @Ril74

    Money doesn't talk, it swears.

  • Man I got chills when he says 'in the deserts of Afghanistan'. In the album version he says 'el salvador afghanistan' naming two countries that Reagan savaged in e 80s to 'save' their people from 'communism'.

  • Jello was the only one who had any heart in this band.

  • @DolemiteDolemite Oh come on. Not true.

  • @DolemiteDolemite

peligro was fucking energetic as hell

    wut r u smoking?

  • @DolemiteDolemite Obviously a hasty conclusion, but I'll say this much; a lot of things have changed since they broke up, and while they've all seen better days, perhaps Jello can be more readily vouched for than the rest, in spite of his reformist, social democratic streak with the Green Party.

  • yo this is great

  • Still relevant... These guys rip!

  • this is tha shit!

     LOVe dead keeennneedyss..

  • something wrong with your keyboard?

  • @wrarwimadragon nah.. just my mind.

  • @SlinGer123 mystery solved, good work gang!

  • nobody cares about entertainment or what your fans want all they care about now is how many fans they have and how much money they can make yawn maybe thats why jello stopped

  • there fastist record! awesome
