Why would America want to leave Iraq? There's $10 trillion in oil reserves, do you know how many stimulus bill that is? It's a gold mine. Besides, if we leave, who's gonna look after that wonderful $1 billion embassy we've invested in? Do you people hate money?

No but if iraq owns the land over the oil reserves And how can other countries thrust america if they are just going to attack the country if they find a large oil reserve
The UN is incapable of trialing America for the any agenda they pursue. The US can take on the UN altogether, look at how the global outcome of it's economy crisis. America's influence has become too vast.
If america is such a strong then how come they had so much problem taking over one small country that many people regard as developing. I mean america can't even come up with an original sport!
It's allways better to have friends rather than enemies
Eh? American has basketball and football, football heavily influenced by rugby and soccer and basketball even thought first played in England (invented by a Canadian-American) has an American origin.
Many conspiracy yappers has an ideology of America prolonging the war in Afghanistan to sustain enough troops for an Iraq war. Even if that's not the case, just because America has difficulty doesn't mean another is capable. America still strongest, it's not even opinion it's just commonly excepted.
The UN today however is simply just a superficial front for international peace talk and diplomatic funding. Can't even lay the smack down on North Korea, got held for ransom. A shame really. =(
Yeah, right, Spliff -- Americans really needed to elect another GD Texan, after eight years of Bush, because Texas is not quite a fully fledged State yet, in fact, thinks of itself as a potential Country all it's own, and of course, Ron Paul is not at all a Know Nothing Bigot, but just sounds like one, when he talks about minorities and immigration. Oh, and his Ron Paul followers are so sane, level headed and trustworthy as fellow citizens. Yeah, I got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you too, Pal.
I voted for McCain, Spliff. But I am from Chicago, I like both Jesse Jackson and Barack Obama, in fact, I enabled the presidencies of Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush and by getting Harold Washington elected to U.S. Congress, and then as Mayor of Chicago, I enabled Black Hollywood, Jesse Jackson's run, and Obama's winning the U.S. Presidency. It's about time somebody took office who knows how to run an Economy and a Country. Obama and Hilary Clinton are A++ in my Book, and I know how to pick 'em
are you crazy barrack is gonna do nothin but distribute the wealth from the super rich to the poor.. problem with that is rich people save poor people spend.. to much money gets out floatin around and then costz go up up up.. hell gas is goin back up and have you bought a loaf of bread lately??? RIDICULOUS. i stand by the troops not the fools in office...TRUE THROUGH AND THROUGH.. RED WHITE AND BLUE BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The "super rich" made millions with my good faith ideas that I shared with them, and I got zilch nada nothing for all that they got. I speak of Steve Ross - Batman Blockbuster - James Cameron - Titannic Blockbuster - Eisner and Disney - Honey I Shrunk the Kids Blockbuster - Adam Sandler's Career - Matt Damon's Career - Liv Tyler's Career - Madonna's megahit successes - and both the toys and the movie blockbusters known as Transformers - Steven Spielberg. Also that Robert Zemeckis' Back 2 Future.
rich people don't save poor people (how? by tax avoidance, paying a vastly smaller proportion of their wealth in taxes!?). and anyway, Obama won't redistribute wealth from rich to poor - didn't you notice that everyone he's appointed represents Wall St??(banks not oil, this time). He's already given them billions of taxpayers money which they're using to consolidate their wealth and power (not buy "toxic" sub-prime based assets which were once an urgent problem)
at amazonfighter, are you some sort of baptist kkk bitch? Are you one of those patrotic republicans? Obama is doing the right thing, it's not like he's jesus or anything, but he'll get all of you out of the shit. Alright? And I'd like to know where you live, because I'm going to beat the living shit out of you, in like a week. When I fly state side
dont make this about democrats vs republicans. They are one party now. They all have the same agenda. Ron Paul is the way to go in terms of a leader for our country.
nigger hurry up an get assassinated already cant belive america even let a nigger run for president. he will be assassinated and itll send a good msg to all niggers
Your a fucken prick you know that? It's people like you that are destroying the world... YOU KNOW WHAT YOU FAT PUSSY WHY DONT YOU GO AN ASSASINATE HIM YOURSELF.... IF YOU HATE HIM SO MUCH...(not that I want him dead) But Your'e all talk you fat fuck.. You think your so tough writing fucked up messages on youtube... Good day to all the good people in the world...
What chumps all you progressives are1 - did you REALLY beleive O would "end" the war and withdraw all troops ?? Of course not! Mainstream Ameerican opinion still favors this position-- you are fools if you believed otherwise.
Why did he? Same reason he did what he did today with the stimulus bill..he talked it down and put down the 9000 earmarks...then SIGNED it! So when he says he'd end the war in Iraq...did ANYONE think he meant like a normal president would end it..or a slippery snake of a president would 'end it'? This man has NO idea WHO or WHAT he is...look at his duplicitous life...trying to be in Govt but getting backing from terrorist...he's ALWAYS had one foot in each world. He is to be pitied. Now pity US!
afghanistann is the next war not israel we are allies with them the americain government is the reason there a country so why in the hell would we go to war with them
Well he can't just pull out of Iraq now that that toilet overflowed! I guess George W. Bush never heard of, "If it 'ain't broke, don't FUCKING fix it!"
We are NOT ending any conflict in the middle east but gearing up for the next war. Expect israel to be attacked...and I DON'T mean by a little "home made" rocket. For the NWO agenda to move forward, Israel MUST be attacked. Its already in their plans.
All of you stop kidding yourselves. We've just built the largest U.S. Embassy in the world in Iraq with accommodations for 4 American oil companies. The investment the U.S. has made under Bush is too big for us to just leave. The sad part is that U.S. taxpayer dollars (and the lives of our military personnel) are being used to protect the interests of the oil companies who get it all for nothing. The oil is going to China and the Asian markets. We the people (and the Iraqis) will see no benefit.
Oh, by the way, if anyone still thinks Iraq is able to sell their own oil as they please, check the videos on my channel for more information. Iraq can only sell it's oil by proxy through the American oil companies (and British Petroleum).
It's not smart to just leave because we don' t want to have a another Vietnam. after we left the North came in and took over the country, and raped and killed thousands. Iraq is not stable and will fall apart if we where just to leave no one seems to understand this.
thats not my point its that a militant group is going to come in and take the country back over, and then we will be right back to where we had started, along with them killing all that don't agree with the ideas, or policies. man people are dumb what ever happened to looking back at history, and not repeating what has happened.
I've went to iraq before to help the troops i serverd 6 months there and almost came back dead in iraq we got ambushed my an iraqi sniper we sent one of our snipers to shoot him down then he got him so if you have any questions how those 6 months of stupididy of that plan message me and ill reply back to what happended thank you.
Americans make the best products in the world And are watched and policed by all American citizens to make sure products are made safely as can be Or they are fined or sued. Companys that leave USA in make products elsewhere is for low standers ,slave wages, ect Other countries have much more closed markets. In japan only 5% of there cars are foreign made because of there gov. and there more patroitic. Many Americans used to be, lets be again. Go on line to USA MADE. Fair decent jobs USA MADE.
Even 16 months time table is too long; it basically calls for occyping, killing, steeling the resources of Iraq for 16 more months. They won't leave unless they are forced out. At the begining of the invasion some 6 years ago they were saying " ... we'll be out in just 6 months."
We will be in Iraq until the end, we can't hand Iraq over to Iran. By then Iran will more than likely have a nuke. If we left Iraq, Iran would control most of the oil & be armed with nukes. That is why we will be there forever
Where are the weapons of mass destruction? Now we are making sure that the illegal puppet government that was installed by an illegal invasion and war criminals stays in power? Wow what a bait and switch suckers.
50,000 troops to keep things secure? The job could be done with the threat of our cruise missils raining down on the enemeies heads, so its plain to see, we don't need even one troop in Iraq, let alone 50,000.
lexicon your kidding right?? u really think an armed force is scared of s few cruise missiles?? the only things those things do is fuck up electricity for the normal citizens they do no damage on an enemy force. i cant believe u are so outdated... read up on prior US cruise missile attacks and see why the US will never rely on that anymore.
afraid of what mahjer?? i was afraid with Bush in office, he launched 2 wars . i highly doubt Obama is going to launch any war in his 4-8 years in office. And please stop calling him a messiah , that is so 2008
When that is the only reason for us going into Iraq, seems the only logical explanation. The dramatic changes is that we are paying Iraqi's to not fight - literally. We never should have been in Iraq, we bombed and ruined that nations economy, kills thousands, allowed way too many of our own to be maimed - we are insane. I am ashamed.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I really really hate to say this but Iraq has been made such a mess that there is a need for troops. The good thing the attitude is different from Obama and Iraqis know it.
...who got us involved in Vietnam, led a disastrous invasion of Cuba, and backed a coup in Iraq - with help from a young Saddam Hussein. I'm not saying he was all bad. But sincerity doesn't mean shit. Hell, Bush was sincere. Doesn't he seem like the kind of guy who would believe his own BS? Obama is no different. He's charismatic but he's a lousy president (so far) like they all have been more or less. If things turn around in the next four years, I'll recant, but man am I disappointed.
It's also about securing the petrodollars from oil purchases. Our occupation ensures that oil continues to be purchased in dollars (not euros, etc) and that those dollars continue to be invested in our markets and government/consumer debt. It's also about squeezing Iran as NATO pushes toward the oil/gas reserves of the Caspian, marching East -- through the Balkans (former Yugoslavia), Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Turkey, and Georgia -- and northwest through Pakistan and Afghanistan.
you really still believe we went there for oil. hmm even though we were paying 4 dollars a gallon for gas last summer. if we took even 30% of iraqs oil gas would drop at least 1.50 so shut up
Your comment so shut up is not very nice. So my little cowboy, why did you go to Iraq, why were you paying $4/gal last summer, why does Jack Keane want 50,000 troops to stay and why did you spend almost a trillion dollars to build an embassy in the Green Zone?
we went for wmd's.there were none. however there was found enough uranium to produce at least 4 nuclear bombs. as of 4$gal is because of we allow ourselves to be controled by oil companies overseas. jack keane wants to keep troops over there because it has become the battle ground for the war on terroism. as for the embassy thats just spending we didnt need that got us to where we are today, a bad economy
Our leaders think in years, not seasons. This is a complex geopolitical strategy orchestrated by people such as Brzezinksi, among others in the CFR (Cheyney was a director 87-89 & 93-95). We can't know what they know or what they're planning, because it's classified or secret. But the facts of US/NATO deployments, dollar hegemony, and proposed pipelines are indisputable. You can believe it's all about terrorism if you want. It's not like we have any say in the matter.
Members of the CFR, usually the most connected and talented people in the country, move in and out of government positions and act as advisers when not serving officially. Rising stars get tapped to join the club. But CFR members don't always agree on policy. It's more of a "who's who" network. I just say CFR rather than saying the network of influential citizens that function as our government's mind trust, handling long-term strategic planning in geopolitics and economics.
In other words, the CFR is not some dark, secret conspiracy. Our elected officials choose and enact our strategy, and the blame rests squarely with them, not some shadowy council of puppet masters.
Our system of government was not set up to allow a minority elite to decide what's good for us. That power rests with the people and those they elect. They can advise but that is where their power should end.
i wouldve thought that therealnews would have been able to look at the context and not just blindly criticize obama by falsely attacking his rhetoric. i guess i was wrong...
I don't know why anyone is really surprised, we still have bases and troopsin Germany and Japan, also Korea. We are going to be in Iraq for 50 years, just look at the history. At least it is moving in the right direction. *sigh*
George W Obomus, or is that mabus? Either way Obama is continuing the American enterprise of War Blood and mayhem along with his robbing the American people to prop up the Private Banks, his failure to release prisoners in Guantanamo, and that he has not repealed the unconstitutional laws passed by Bush, etc, etc, etc. I call him Obomination for the evil conniving liar he is!
nothing, we both agree that AIPAC is bad! The difference is you give them way to much credit, and make it seem like there is only one lobby that sways US policy. Not every action of the US government can be fully described in terms of AIPAC
Great stuff. I believe that Obama is doing what he said on the campaign: We need to be careful getting out as we are careless getting in. I want our troops to come home as well but we must not be rash about it either.
If the president is serious, saying that he would leave Iraq to its people , he has 2 stop supporting the puppet government which he called his iraqi Partners>>
America is investing heavily in huge military bases (Approx 14 of them). Guess where they are? When the oil fields are secure, they can withdraw some troops from the streets, but large numbers wil be required to defend the black gold. Simple, really.
We invaded Afghanistan because the US got their pants pulled down and needed to do something tough. The war in Iraq probably had a lot more to do with big corporate war profiteers. The point is, not everything that is bad that happens is because of the Israeli lobby. The problem isn't israel, but government in general. Organizations, which have a monopoly on the use of violence, and creation of law, that can be exploited by interests.
WOW! thanks for nonchalantly insulting my knowledge base and intelligence in the same breathe while completely missing the point of my post. I am not arguing that the AIPAC is a strong fucking lobby, or that the israeli government has a huge fucking influence over US policy, but so do a million other organizations. You sound like one of those inti-israeli conspiracy theorists who blames everything on the "ZIONIST JEWS"!
"I intend to remove all U.S. troops from Iraq by the end of 2011." - Obama
But 50.000 will stay.
Ofcourse do The Powers That Be have no intentions whatsoever to leave Iraq. They have conquered it, put their flag in the ground and now its going to be another vassal state of the Empire. An "unsinkable aircraft carrier" in the gulf, with lots o' oil.
The zionists objective to have Iraq neutralized i.e. destroyed has been met so they've moved on in their quest to secure the realm.
Listen, everyone has a big lobby. That may not apply as much when it comes to foreign nations, but the point is, you need to look at Israel in the proper context. They are just another power hungry lobby in bed with the American ruling class. They are only unique because they are a country rather then a corporation. Other then that, Israel is not unique. I just wanted to make sure you had everything in context.
I want to put a finger on David Rockefellers book "Memoirs" where he talks about a world government. Further he says "thx" to the big magazines for keeping the mouth shut for the past 40 years and that the world is ready for a world government.
I wont the dots connected between financial crisis and these words of that bankster. Do your work properly "TheRealNews"!!!
Thats true, but i guess that the war in Iraq is Pathetic? i mean you cant accuse a country with false accusations and then attack it and stay there knowing that they didnt have any WMD, 17,000 troops to afghanistan is a good idea,
Things have turned shit with Obama quickly. Ron Paul won't get in. Big business won't let it happen. If voting made a difference they would abolish it
the US in in the business of WAR not peace, we are heading for world war III, thanks to the US military industrial complex taking over (paying off) the US government.
This is just more double talk from Obama. I'm so glad I voted for Ralph Nader. We have 700 bases in 140 countries and are in a state of perpetual war. The "terrorism" excuse is just that, an excuse for our campaign of world domination.
If you don't see that at the national level there is NO difference between Republicans and Democrats, then you my friend are the dumbass. Until we get out of this left/right paradigm, both parties will continue to loot the country and screw us over. Philosophically, Ron Paul is more a Libertarian than a Republican - and he's the only politician who has knowledge of, and has been honest about, our current "crisis". A crisis, by the way, created by the very people promising to fix it.

The UN is incapable of trialing America for the any agenda they pursue. The US can take on the UN altogether, look at how the global outcome of it's economy crisis. America's influence has become too vast.
nguy3n11 2 years ago
If america is such a strong then how come they had so much problem taking over one small country that many people regard as developing. I mean america can't even come up with an original sport!
It's allways better to have friends rather than enemies
mullymyster 2 years ago
Eh? American has basketball and football, football heavily influenced by rugby and soccer and basketball even thought first played in England (invented by a Canadian-American) has an American origin.
nguy3n11 2 years ago

We the people (and the Iraqis) will see no benefit.
churchmn 2 years ago 2
Oh, by the way, if anyone still thinks Iraq is able to sell their own oil as they please, check the videos on my channel for more information. Iraq can only sell it's oil by proxy through the American oil companies (and British Petroleum).

When that is the only reason for us going into Iraq, seems the only logical explanation. The dramatic changes is that we are paying Iraqi's to not fight - literally.

It's also about squeezing Iran as NATO pushes toward the oil/gas reserves of the Caspian, marching East -- through the Balkans (former Yugoslavia), Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Turkey, and Georgia -- and northwest through Pakistan and Afghanistan.
eryksun 2 years ago 3
you really still believe we went there for oil. hmm even though we were paying 4 dollars a gallon for gas last summer. if we took even 30% of iraqs oil gas would drop at least 1.50 so shut up
texasguy23 2 years ago
Your comment so shut up is not very nice. So my little cowboy, why did you go to Iraq, why were you paying $4/gal last summer, why does Jack Keane want 50,000 troops to stay and why did you spend almost a trillion dollars to build an embassy in the Green Zone?
cheddyrod 2 years ago
we went for wmd's.there were none. however there was found enough uranium to produce at least 4 nuclear bombs. as of 4$gal is because of we allow ourselves to be controled by oil companies overseas. jack keane wants to keep troops over there because it has become the battle ground for the war on terroism. as for the embassy thats just spending we didnt need that got us to where we are today, a bad economy
texasguy23 2 years ago
Regarding your comment about Iraq having had enough uranium to make four nuclear bombs please read David Kays report to the senate in Jan. 04.

It's not like we have any say in the matter.
eryksun 2 years ago 2
I concur.
Badjohn007 2 years ago
The CFR is not a government entity. They should not be planning and plotting anything. They are guilty of sedition.
VisionQuest2012 2 years ago
Members of the CFR, usually the most connected and talented people in the country, move in and out of government positions and act as advisers when not serving officially. Rising stars get tapped to join the club. But CFR members don't always agree on policy. It's more of a "who's who" network. I just say CFR rather than saying the network of influential citizens that function as our government's mind trust, handling long-term strategic planning in geopolitics and economics.
eryksun 2 years ago
In other words, the CFR is not some dark, secret conspiracy. Our elected officials choose and enact our strategy, and the blame rests squarely with them, not some shadowy council of puppet masters.
eryksun 2 years ago
Our system of government was not set up to allow a minority elite to decide what's good for us. That power rests with the people and those they elect. They can advise but that is where their power should end.
VisionQuest2012 2 years ago
I was all freaked out about the CFR in the 70's. This crap is so old.

sazzy,
We invaded Afghanistan because the US got their pants pulled down and needed to do something tough.
