  • ええ音してますね。

  • i knew it. japanese

  • 1. where you using a pedal and what type

    2. how much where the pickups

    3. what amp settings

  • THIS IS THE DAYBREAK !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • that's some nice tone i don't care what anyone say!

  • cmon pal.. its not a pickup demo. its you trying to show the world you can ... er.. play guitar. the only way to show off any pup is to play it clean. how you can even play with that god awful sound is beyond me but im not going down that road of slating someone because of their sound, i take it that vox amp is fairly cheap etc and getting a great sound is an art form within itself, however, well worth learning. invest in a better amp and get a decent sound and forget oasis jingle jangle shit!

  • @strangegroovecat Your a douche. He is demoing the pickups his way.

  • @PBANDSNOW .. a douche.. a most quaint american insult I'm sure.. I'm actually more of a wanker but I quite like the reference to vaginal irrigation. I lived in the states for 5 years and don't ever think I heard anyone actually say "douche".. weird that. Look the guys a good guitarist, he knows loads of cool licks etc... but its hardly a pickup demo. When demonstrating something you generally show different aspects of what "the thing you are demonstrating" can do.. a douche.. love it

  • @strangegroovecat Well that shut me up!

  • @strangegroovecat yo i got wat i needed to here those pickups r dope

  • Marche una fria para el amigo!

  • Can't he the tone of the guitar at all with this horrible muddy amp setting. Play cleanly.. Seriously. It's better in every single way. :)

  • What were the original pups in your paul? Burstbuckers? Is that a 58' reissue?

  • @LesterPaul01 it look like a Les Paul Classic to me. Because of the yellow inlay

  • 2:09 soooo sally can wait she knows its too late .... yeaah good song ( oasis ) dont look back in anger im 14 , long live rock and roll!

  • thank fuck yu bought new trousers!

  • how did u take out and put new pickups in?

  • too much distortion for a demo-could be anyone 's PU???

  • what model vox are playin' through?

  • Are these pick-ups passive or active?

  • @soopa96 They're passive. Most pickups Duncan makes are passive. They do have a line of active pickups though, called Blackouts.

  • I'm sure the guitar sounds killer, but not through that crappy practice amp. I'd seriously look into a real amplifier.

  • This video kinda reminds me of my gear xD

I bought a Gibson LP Traditional a couple of months ago and I'm playing through a shitty peavey vypyr 30 (don't get me wrong though, the amp is quite good, it just doesn't do the guitar any justice).

I'm planning on buying a orange dual terror prety soon though :p

  • @vastei13 the dual terror kicks ass. im gonna grab one on the next paycheck

  • that amp is a bag of horse shit..

  • I happen to love Vox Valvetronix amps, however, I must agree with a number of the other posters. You are producing a rather crappy sound, sir.

  • i humbucked ur mom

  • I WANT TO BE THIS GOOD arrrgghhhh

  • That is a horrible amp you got there buddy.

  • where did you get your guitar strap?

  • lousy sound. the amp anyway.

  • can anyone tell me which song he play at 1:50?

  • @HeartOnTheStreet Oasis - Don't look back in anger after that he plays Oasis - Live forever

  • I hate the vox overdriven sound. They're so fizzy.

  • save for an amplifier

  • Would you consider these Antiquity pickuos for a metal guitarist?

  • just so you all know, Vox amps are the shit. The Beatles made rock n' roll on Vox amps! this amp sounds godly! I don't know what you guys have been listening to, but obviously it must be associated with scremo, death Metal and pop garbage. do your self a favour and go listen to Cream White Room and listen to some real music!

  • Dude, I appreciate the effort but that amp sounds absolutely horrid. Reminds me of the annoying, buzzy, mosquito-esque distortion of this shitty DS-1 I played out of once.

  • sounds really tinny, try micing the amp towards the outer cone rather than right in the middle

  • Sounds like shit!

Use a decent tube amp please!

  • Dude save your money and buy a marshall half stack!

  • I hate the Vox Valvetronix series. They sound like shit...you should just save up and get an AC30.

  • sorry, sounds cheap and buzzy - could be anything, its not an easy task to make a good recording with home equipment.

  • Ignore the hate. Your playing is awesome! Definitely enjoyed it. Just having my guitar in the shop for Alnico 2 pros. I always love looking at a good pickup demo.

  • hate vox amps!! yuck! nice gtr!

  • IDIOT!

  • Can you tell what strap that is and where i can get one? :)

  • get a used mrshall dsl401 the diffrence over this vox is massive beleive me!!

  • whats the song after whole lotta love?

  • @radioactivesex Back In Black - AC/DC

  • fuzz lolz... get a good amply and a good microphone

  • no sustain, just fuzz!

  • estas vien pendejo la cansion de back in black no es asi pendejo

  • @jaltkbt esto es sobre los microfonos no sobre lo toca no?

  • hahaha, i'm in the same position as this guy. I've got a PRS McCarty rosewood with all the options, but running through this 50 watt version of this amp... : (

  • what kind of paul is that? finish?

  • at 0:41 What song was that? anyone?

  • @RoCkeR1799 AC/DC - Back in Black

  • @RoCkeR1799 Back in Black by AC/DC

  • 1:50, was that the solo to that one Oasis song, where Noel sings?

  • great guitar but thats a waste playing it though that Vox

  • me likey :)

  • aprende a tocar pedazo de putoooo!!!!!

  • I think I'm gonna sound kindda stupid asking this but... does this pickups come with two or four conduct wiring (you know for the split coil thingy)?

  • @xRAKDOZxHI! since you got no ansver, I take the liberty:P it is not 4 conductor since this is a vintage pickup, it is made to be just like the vintage PAFs, it's 2 conductor braided wire just as it was in the 50ties and I also dont think it's waxpotted, also they have aged covers to make them look old, it's a great pickup if you want vintage tones, and if you do, you should forget about coilsplit since it makes the tone suffer non-vintage style

  • not the right sound

  • Cut back on the gain so we can hear what the guitar is saying.

  • I don't care what they say, nice playing dude great vid

  • that amp is shitty dude, come on

  • your playing sucks, your amp sucks.

    your guitar is amazing.

    what a shame

  • Sounds the same as my epi. These amps are to trebely sometimes.

  • The tone is not that good. Sorry.

  • spending money in electic guitars is stupid...fenders made in china with good pick ups sound great...I would spend lot of money in an acoustic guitar though...in that case you can hear the difference...

  • @danlovesnan if you think there is little difference between an american made guitar and a chinese fender, then you sir do not know what you're talking about

  • @zomgzomglawlawlawl

I do know that man..infact I have many friends that build guitars....to make a solid body is quite simple...a fender stratocaster is a very cheap guitar...of course, if you use high quality materials and varnish can get more expensive...but how do these things afect the sound? if you give to a Chinese a peace of pine tree he can make a good strat: the design is so easy to copy...the pick ups do the most...talking about acoustic guitars....that's another matter

  • hey what model Gibson LP is that? Very nice color!

  • Hi,

How did you record the sound ? Pluging the microphone into a camcorder ? I don't know anything about that point..

  • are you using any Pedals? or is it straight to the amp??

  • its a Honeyburst.

  • doesnt sound any better than my epi.

  • You maybe play with the same amp...

Using a good tube amp would do a great difference. You cant compare an Epi made of woods nobody knows to a Gibson.

  • Where did you get that strap?

  • That's a definite improvement in sound over your other pickups!

  • Major thumbs up for playing part of Daybreak (Y)

  • is that a light burst on your les paul

  • @supguy101 Its not considered a burst. It is called Iced Tea. I'm not 100% sure but that's what I heard. It is easy to get confused though.

  • thanks, it looks very good, add a little bit of red in that and it would be perfect

  • Desert burst as a super slight hint of red I think? Its darker for sure on the fade its my preference. :)

  • which are better ANTIQUITY HUMBUCKER or

    EMG SELECT HUMBUKERS??

  • ANTIQUITY HUMBUCKER is good in clean!!!

in distortion, i think its almost same!!!

  • I don't know why you people are saying it sounds horrible, I think it sounds pretty damn awesome! I never got this sound from my rig, same as his, only no maple in my guitar, and alnico 5 pickups. His antiquities are alnico 2 I think.

  • Move the microphone back and out of loudspeaker dead center and you will record a much warmer sound. Now you are picking up all the nasty treble coming from the middle of the speaker..............This sounds horrible by the way its being recorded

  • Yup, sounds like a garage sale amp. Your handsome Les Paul has the ugly girlfriend sindrome. Cant keep his head up. I feel sorry for him.

  • @ElTone43 hahaha the ugly girlfriend syndrome. thats completely true too.

  • Oh my god, that´s sound is very bad :s

  • For demoing high end pickups, you absolutely need a little tube amp you can crank and push all the way up.

  • @jp6l6

Agreed. I recommend a Fender Pro Junior Reverb. $399 new (unless they discontinued them). You might get a used one here for about $300. Great tone.

Another great choice would be a Mesa Boogie Subway.

  • @jp6l6 Like a Marshall 1959SLP super lead!

  • @jp6l6 Agree With you totaly man, But the reviews for these pickups say you want to avoid cranking the volume up to high with these as they suposedly feedback easly, buit iv never had that problems with feedback with them???

  • That's PERFECT! It's just what i'm looking for

  • aah man I love itz!!!

  • I have got one of these for home use and it sounds great. I do not understand this obsession with all tube amps as being the only thing to play most of them are have to be turned up to get the sound you want and it is just to loud for home use(unless you live in the middle of no where). So give the guy a break his playing is superb and he might just be being considerate to his neighbours.

  • This is the only way to hear all the potential of the guitar and its pickups.

His amp sounds a lot too harsh and doesn't give justice to these.

  • You're playing great and I'm sure the guitar/pickups sound awesome. But get a tube amp :)

  • You have a Gibson Les Paul with pickups worth £100 each and you are playing through an average modelling amp. This makes no sense to me

  • It's a practice amp. It's actually a hybrid amp, It has a tube in the pre amp.

  • @DCmey: That valve in the preamp does very little, IMO, hybrid amps are just a marketing scheme to fool a beginner guitarist into thinking that they are buying a valve amp.

  • @JakArcher Personally I own a VOX AD 50VT and it's fantastic. Before that amp I had Behranger VTone and it and the differance to me was night and day. I do think the valve helps emulate the sound better than your regular solid state amp.

  • The maximum volume of a 50-watt amplifier with a 100-watt amplifier the difference is only 3 dB, barely greater than the ability of the human ear to hear the difference. It would take an amplifier with 10 times more power to be twice as loud.

    Small amps rule.

  • @JakArcher yea and its not even like the guy terrible at guitar. hes pretty good

  • @JakArcher im confused

  • @JakArcher That's the best modelling amp, and it's not too powerful to be played in a bedroom

  • @JakArcher I had to buy a small amp because I am practicing in a small apartment right now. He may have wanted to try to get the richest tone at lowest volume possible....I've had that thought. Valvetronix is definitely sad compared to the AC30, though.

  • @JakArcher Why not get a PRS SE, throw antiquities in there and get a fender blues jr? its got them tubes so it actually sounds good

  • can the neck pickup get parisienne walkways or still got the blues gary moore tone?

  • is that les paul classic? im thinking of adding these to mine

  • what is the defference between the 490R and 498T Pickups, and these

  • these would give you a warmer and a smoother overdrive sound

  • what's the song starting 1:05???

  • daybreak - the stone roses

  • @fedeqwertyu what's the song starting 1:30???

  • Antiquity single coil Strat pickups are the best I've used - amazing articulation, great clean and amazing with some gain (I have the Texas hots). They can put a so-so strat or a copy over the top. My next soldering project will be putting their humbuckers in an SG or a Melody Maker. Pricey pups, but worth it. (Though buying a set of G&L Strat pickups from the g&L website is a fantastic upgrade, too - those are awesome pups for a low price!)

  • Now that's antique sound!

  • Great guitar, great pickups, great playing, average amp

  • nice sound but lacked a bit of body to me. Great playing.

  • can anybody tell me if those pickups are good i mean from 1 to 10???? especially in clean chanel??

  • 前よりも60年代的な感じがします。nice sound です

  • i watch atleast once a week, all posts nice afternoon coffee break

  • awesome Live Forever Solo!!!

  • You are john squire.

  • daybreak! quality!

  • YAAAAA! nice sound!
