i don't think this song is anti-war song per se. i feel like jamie is sort of personifying an angry gay boy reflecting on some sort of bully from high school (who he also may have had some sort of perverse crush on too). i think a lot of fabulous mucles is in the same vain.

@AllisonIone Actually, maybe Xiu Xiu wouldn't have been able to go to his own gig because the oil fare would have been too high if it wasn't for the military intervention. This song is a precise rant about how funny it is to pretend to be killing for an ideal as though you never kill for anything else than just being able to do so. Take a peek within your childhood memories, when you used to kill insects on sunday because you were bored. It's the same.
This song is not good music (if it's trying to be music at all), and I must admit I don't really like Xiu Xiu. However, I admire the hell out of them for having the courage to record this. The message is long overdue.
