  • Can I Clay The Whole Car With Only ONE Clay Bar !?

  • I did this with the turtle wax ice kit, but I can't get the clay to float around like that in the end. Now I feel like I did something wrong. I mustve clayed the same surface 5 times using various amouts of pressure and I still cant get an outcome like that. Very frustrating!! Help?

  • you got too much sauce on the paint lol

  • What do you guys recommend for a polish?

    Is polish necessary before waxing?

  • i clay my car twice a day. my 1/4 of my salary is used on claying. bird droppings now bead off my car. so addicted to clay my girl friend left me.

  • @aqstermole

Hahaha, its better than being addicted to heroine I guess

I too take excessive pride in detailing my car. I can't stand a single dust particle in my car... I keep a dremel in the glove box to use when any surface of the interior looks even slightly dirty. If I had the same amount of effort for cleaning my house it too WOULD look immaculate.

  • I have to ask you clayed first time and removed all that corrosion but flipped the clay bar then went again then flipped it a third time your putting the dirty side back on the car and the paint hence rubbing dirt into your paint should have re molded it to a point where no dirt was showing.

  • too much spray kid

  • hey buddy a little too much on the spray there. Ease back u need only 1/4 that, otherwise u're just reducing the friction between clay and surface which u want but only to a point.

  • how many times a year should i do that to my car ? Thanks

  • Damn man, you almost used the whole freaking bottle on just half the trunk hehe. Seems very wasteful. But good video just the same

  • Great vid! Very informative on the procedure.

  • can't just wipe off the contamination?

  • Nope. This abrades it, pulling it out of the paint in a way, whereas simply wiping it down wouldn't do anything.

  • no sorry tats not wat i meant the contamination on the clay bar insead of folding it in cant you just wipe that off

  • so after you wash the car, u let it dry completely, then clay it? how then do u dry the spray after your done claying?

  • what do you do after your done claying?

  • Polish or seal/wax. Usually, unless the clay is really fine, it will leave some marring on the paint, so polishing is a must.

  • question: once you use the clay bar from the contaniments... wont it scratch the car second time around? Thanks for the vid.

  • After a panel or sometimes multiple times during a panel (if its really dirty) you knead the clay to expose fresh new clay to apply back to the paint.

  • Clay bar is like magic. My car was accidentally contaminated with furniture paint, affecting the windshield, the roof, the hood, as well as portion of the windows. Only the clay bar removed them, after trying other methods. I believe this is one of the best detailing methods, restoring the shine of my car.

  • Great Video! I learned a lot; thank you and keep up the good work.

  • can you use soapy water?

  • Many do but it tends to dry out from my experience and quick detailers work much better.

  • thanks

  • I use soapy water, and spray liberally to keep the surface wet, because as pointed out by lecchilo, it dries out faster than a QD.

Also it tends to cause cheaper clays to 'crumble'.

  • why do you dilute the QD?

  • save some cost, don't need to be too concentrated as long as it's lubricated will do

  • exactly like nwl213 said... no reason for it to be that concentrated for clay

  • very informative! well done!

  • Thanks, glad it helped.

  • Excellent video.
