LTA actually DO sing from the heart. The lyrics are 100% honest and everyone can relate to them, especially B.O.R.E.D, because they arent dressed in poetry and metaphor.

all the old hardcore, with big roots in punk. lower than atlantis draw on that influence more than bands like TAS do. the term 'hardcore' encompasses so many different styles, you cant really say certain things are and certain things arent anymore, but if you look at the roots of hardcore, LTA are closer to that than all the beatdown metallic stuff you listed.

@wall271, firstly, I know what you mean. The singer does sound a bit like he could be Australian. He isn't though. These guys are from Watford - a place just outside of London, England. Secondly, 'British' is a term to describe anyone from the UK/Great Britain (a combination of the countries England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland). As these guys are from England and that is a country in the UK, these guys are both British and English.

@iamtheveryspecial1 I like hardcore. But i do find there is a lot of absolute wank out there. I do have to dig deep for stuff i like. UK hardcore is definitely the best atm. Since Gallows and Ghost of A Thousand came about we've had a really good influx of bands. I've always felt that british groups are more interesting though because they tend to conform less to cultural norms. Like this song. LTA have no reluctance to take things completely melodic or to like almost Deftones brooding.

if you're looking for hardcore forget xAFBx and Acacia Strain and all that, they're metal bands. More Than Life, Hopeless, Killing The Dream, The Carrier, Landscapes, Almost Home, Defeater - great hardcore bands.
