What I do to get over writer's block is I do something else like go for a walk work on another project and I come back to it later. It is good to try not to force it.
Wonderful, perfect and amazing! Thanks a lot, Brian! I not just like you, I LOVE you! :)
I totally agree with Long and all his comments!
6 books a week is just crazy! I know because that's how many I read & listen myself :) Sometimes it becomes too much, though. Sometimes brain also needs to get some rest and STOP thinking for at least a few hours :)
This video with Book of the Week was really helpful, valuable and highly appreciated! Hope you'll give us more suchlike recommendations!
Thanks for the Recommendations, Brian. They're now both on my reading checklist .
Here's two techniques I use to overcome writers block whilst I'm working on my book:
1) I set only a small daily goal of 250 words. This is easy to keep up, even with writers block, However it is also usually just enough for me to have a flash of inspiration.
2) I set out all the main points of the book and ideas I want to get across. If I get blocked on one, I move on down the list till I have something to write.
Brian, you're a real lifelong learner and you're setting a wonderful example for the younger generation on how it is important to devote time to reading books that will help them grow intellectually. At 6 books per week, along with other materials - you're a real content consuming machine! With much love and respect - Long
