People need to understand that the perfection you hear on records like dragonforce is NOT any human playing an instrument. Sure, even if he can play the stuff on the album, on the guitar, it's no where near as perfect as the computer playing it. There are hundreds and hundreds of hours spent on editing/programming the lead guitar alone on dragonforce albums. In no way are you hearing *anything* played by a human on these albums. With that said I enjoy listening to it myself but you need to know.

You do realize that every guitar solo is programmed into a midi vst instrument that sounds like a electric guitar and sent out to a guitar amp (so it almost sounds like a real guitar), RIGHT? The drums are also programmed. The vocals are pitch corrected to be 100% in tune. You're really listening to a computer when you listen to dragonforce. The only musicanship here is credited to the producers...Thats why this LIVE version sucks...but I give them credit atleast they are actually attempting it

The "popstar vocals" you're talking about are created by using extreme settings on those plugins, particularly a very fast attack. You can *transparently* pitch correct a vocal track. Melodyne, Waves Tune, even AutoTune, with a lot of in-depth editing you can take a vocal track that is close to being on and make it computer perfect *transparently*. Melodyne is specifically good at being transparent.

And the reason why its not as good live is because of showmanship, theyre trying to put a show on AND play.
