The "tafsir" of ibn Abbas is inauthentic according to Bilal philips. scholars don't take it serioulsly. this is because it has much inauthentic hadiths. Its not really from ibn abbas.

Well with all due respect to Bilal Phillips I have found other scholars that have said the Tafsir of Ibn Abbas is authentic and was considered authentic by many classical scholars. So there might be a difference of opinions on this, but I would be careful to say "scholars dont take it seriously". Salam
