Some pretty inaccurate GI gear they are using, and I don't know that modern "tactical slinging" the Thompson was the best move either. The Germans looked pretty bad too. For the GI actors in this:M1944 suspenders, a piece of gear more commonly found postwar. A pretty bland amount of any real gear on them as well. Not a lot of haversacks, Etools, bed rolls, wet weather gear, GP bags, rifle cleaning rod kits, things you would always see on infantryman on the move. Military advisers failed you.

@milly8389 Spike Lee was receved many letters by old surviver partisans who lived the resistence in S.Anna and in Tuscany for correcting him during the shoting of the movie but he ignored them and he kept on to shot dispate the terrible and insulting historic mistake!!!!! And in Italy only fascist hated partisans most of Italy loved and helped partisans!!!! Spike Lee you are a lier!!!!!

@blaklagoon1 I know it. But the history is another. In S.ANNA there were not american troops but only italians fascists nazists and partisans. Buffalo troop arrived in Italy on 29 agoust 1943 to Naples (south Italy) and the massacre were been at 12 agoust un Tuscany (centr North Italy). So....

im not sure what country you are in so it might not be funny but in america in the 90's there was a famous black music video director, Hype Williams, who directed a lot of big rap artist. They are joking about him while ALSO using the character voice of another rapper, Humpty Hump, from the 90's... If you know these references its funny.

Actually a soldier could have really gotten killed like that at 9:19-9:21 because those alleys and pathways didn't have much cover in them. That would suck. He couldn't even hide in the door arch.
