No no no dew to the fact that I saw the female laying the eggs I am 100% sure that the female is the brighter one and the males are allways the darker ones,
So i'm pretty sure that the one that your saying is the mother with the fry is actually the father. For one, with Jewels both parents tend to the fry. Secondly, males are always brighter than the females, and thirdly the "moms" fins are way longer in the back than the other less bright one. So i think that it's most likely the dad with the fry and the mom is the darker one.

wow i didn't know the fry would be thats small and plentyfull my african cichlids fry is massive compared to them lol
