Isn't Morocco occupying the country of Western Sahara? I read somewhere that the Moroccan occupation has not been recognized by any country in the world. I must say that I LOVE(d) Morocco and visited many times. But then I found out about Western Sahara occupation, the refugee camps, I felt really bad for the Sahrawi people. I don't think I like Morocco anymore and I don't think I am going to visit again. Now I tell all my friends about Western Sahara.
@toctc I am afraid you don't know what you are talking about. The Sahara has been Moroccan since at least the Almoravid dynasty- whose origins were in the Sahara- which established itself throughout Morocco (even beyond into Spain). We are united by the same dynasties, have the same culture, follow the same religion-and further school, speak the same language, and we have suffered the same colonisation. The myth of an occupation has been organised and supported by geopolitical strategists.
@maghra Why are there more than 100,000 refugees in Tindouf? Why are there berms? Why are people in La Ayoune complaining of harassment and abuse by the Moroccan police and youth? Why does Morocco not want a referendum and let the Sahrawi decide their future. I read about all these things are was very disappointed in Morocco which it seems is no better coloniser than Spain.
@toctc It's good that you mentioned the 100,000 HOSTAGES in Tindouf, all of whom Morocco would like to see come home. The only people that prevent them from returning-and harm and kill those who attempt to do so-are the Polisario gang who need them in order to continue the whole myth of a people without a land. As for the Berm, it is a defensive measure against any offensive launched by the Polisario. The referendum contradicts the unity of Morocco.
@toctc Also, how dare you compare us to Spain, by doing that you show yourself up as ignorant and someone in no position to moralise; do you have any idea how many people Spain slaughtered? Do you know of the chemical warfare it engaged in in the north, against a people rebelling against their foreign occupation. The Saharawi people are well integrated into our society-that is the difference! They are as Moroccan as anyone else, including when facing hardship (of the police etc).
@toctc those people in Tindouf are FORCED by the Algerians and Polisario to stay there. Morocco said everyone can come back if they like to, but there ''brothers'' dont let them.
a year ago alot of Sahrawis fled the camp and came to Morocco to live here.
I think misunderstanding is a better word than lie. There are many details but what really gets me is NO ONE ever talks about what SPAIN actually did to the world.
IT IS NOT THAT SIMPLE-----it is more an issue of tribal people fighting to live under a western nationalist regime. The only country to actually OCCUPY the region was spain so if you want to boycott a country boycott Spain.
your way off target bro what's race and religion has got to do with this video? and epaking about poverty im not sure about your real background but being that u live in the uk "which is considered a safe heaven for so called immigrants like you to escape poverty and hunger" is sinking in poverty and hunger itself. poverty exists everywhere even in the so called rich countris including the UK. so come up with a better crtic next time about Morocco. im sure u can do better than that.
I'm from the Sahara desert, there are many black peolple who live in the Sahara in Niger and Mali. The only racist person here is you, using the word "baboon" this is exactly the type of thing I'm talking about. You talk about not being racist then you use words like this. May Allah have mercy on your soul.
Some of the pictures you showed were not of Sahrawi people. You showed a picture of some members of Tartit a group in Mali. They're Tamasheq (Touareg)
Tartit or not sir we dont discriminate based on Race in Morocco. this is the diffference between Morocco and other countries. in Morocco everybody is a brother and we are united by islam . there is no difference we are all equal under god. we have had people from subsaharan africa like your ancestors from mali and the rest of southern africa come over and live in peace under the flag of islam. we dont have the sectarism and tribalism it's a thing of the past.
That is good, and I hope that is true that we are all united under the flag of Islam. I am not sure if it is true that Maroc does not discriminate. What about the differences between Amazighen and Arabs in Maroc? Are Amazigh allowed to even speak their language?
yes they are allowed to speak their language in fact its officially a recongnized language that's is used on the news and in school and i think unlike where u come from which is apparently burkina faso Morocco is the leader in terms of huma rights and democracy in all of Africa . so before u judge Morocco judge your own government. Morocco is too good. also black people like u in Morocco are treated just like everyone else and are equal so go attack someone else.
long live Morocco from oujda all the way dakhla unified. caution to the ennemies of Morocco who dare and split it because we will split you before u can achieve it.
you should know better if you'r Moroccan it 's not really that hard to find out . the anti islam or islamophobics would be ranked at the top for instance.zionists, atheists, polizabal and the list goes on and on
