Where did the holder/clip go?…those are screwed on to the stand and even if it was loose that would mean the mike would have turned downwards instead of sitting on top.

If that part was still connected to the mic it would be impossible to go down like that.

Mouth is not open that far and its angled away from the mic.

Would have hit his lips or cheek but never would go straight down the throat.

The resistance the mike would meet from teeth , tongue and having to go down on an angle would NOT allow the mike to slide out of the mic stand holder/clip but would get pushed back in to it.

Unless, of course, it had continued along a straight line and broken his spine before possibly resurfacing through the back of his neck... Either way, you'd expect to see blood rather than saliva.
